Just watched a video regarding the changes to the Expy Timberline for the upcoming 2023 model year. Ford is getting rid of the Cypress green interior (which is insane IMO), but adding the trail one-pedal driving which is apparently something available on the Bronco.
Anyone have any...
I believe it is Fiery Orange, but I’m not 100% sure because after we selected that color from one of 3Ms series of vinyl wraps, we learned that the series was discontinued and he had to go with a different series. But I presume the color/name is the same.
Here is a photo of the front, and...
So I had my PPF guy throw on some vinyl for both the chrome delete and the fog light trim. I like the way the concept vehicle looked.
Think we did a pretty good job matching the Red Ember with 3M’s color!
We are Toyota/Lexus fans over here, and bought our ‘22 Expy b/c 1) it was actually available for purchase (imagine that) and 2) I’ve always said that if we bought something other than a Toyo, it would be a Ford.
But I have no idea why in the world they did what they did with that storage...
Well I've played around with the zone lighting, and unless I'm mistaken, the "rear zone lighting" is just turning on the reverse lights (I can't check right now b/c my Timber is in the shop getting PPF applied). Not a big deal though, whether incandescent or LED.
I realize that this thread is about 4 months old now.... but, yes, my '22 Timber rides differently than my '21 4X2 Limited/Stealth did.
But that's expected, considering the Stealth had those huge 22" wheels with low profile Pirelli tires, and now I'm on meatier Goodyear Wranglers on 18"...
Just thought about this... maybe I should go take a look at the FRONT signal LEDs on my current '22 Timber rig, and see what Ford has used there.... maybe that would shed some light on this subject.
I've not yet done anything regarding the bulbs. I'm anxious to swap them out, but what I really want to know is:
1. If I were crazy enough to spend the $$$ on the entire OEM LED housings (like what I had on my '21 Limited Stealth), what's different about those vs. these on the '22 Timberline...
How is it that your Timberline has lettering on the hood? The black '21 Limited MAX w/Stealth that we just got rid of had it, but not our '22 Forged Green Timber.
I've noticed that most other Timbers on here lack those letters as well.
Do either of you happen to have photos of the front bumper before you removed the plate bracket?
I will soon be moving from a state with no front plate requirement (FL) to a state that will require me to have it (VA). Knowing this, I asked my dealer here in FL to give me the bracket assuming...
Hello all... just joined and posted about this issue before I saw this thread (https://www.expeditionforum.com/threads/2022-expy-timberline-led-lighting-for-brake-rear-turn-s-reverse-license-plate.51137/). I too have a '22 Timberline with the 501a.
Rather than considering a swap of the entire...
Hello all! First post.
Wife and I just picked up a new 2022 Expy Timberline Edition, in Forged Green. With the 501a package. We're pretty stoked.
However, I can't believe that a truck at this price point doesn't have full LED lighting all around. This truck has incandescent bubs for all...
