I know very little about their actual real-world performance. They are a great idea in theory, but their limitations in regards to car seats and boosters would make me personally avoid them if you have kids. This YouTube video does a good job at explaining how they work in a crash to distribute...
Good news and bad news. The Frontier is compatible with the inflatable seat belt system but the Advocate ClickTight is not. The Advocate can use the vehicle's LATCH lower anchors until the child weighs 30 lb in rear-facing mode, 35 lb in forward-facing mode. Depending on how much the 2yo weighs...
Nope, not screwed. There are a number of seats approved for use with the inflatable seat belts as well as seats that can use the LATCH lower anchors until 55 lb child weight.
I’m a certified child passenger safety technician (aka car seat tech), 2018 Expy owner, and mom of 3 kids. I’m happy to...
I was responding to the original poster. They stated they often have Apple Maps on the main screen and couldn’t see the song choice at the same time. You can see both at the same time on the right setting.
You can now have nav and music displayed at the same time with CarPlay. Example is Apple Maps and Amazon Music. If only 1 thing is showing press the button on the lower left of the display screen to toggle between single app view and cluster view.
Was there anything sitting on the front passenger seat like a purse, laptop, books, etc.?
Also, was there anything under the front seats or pushing on the backs of the front seats (a rear-facing car seat or feet from a rear seat passenger)?
Meh, I wouldn’t bother plugging the holes or worrying about the slight divot. I’d just throw down the WeatherTech one-piece 2nd/3rd row liner to cover it and call it good. Makes it a little faster/easier if you want to put the center seat back in.
We have three kids (10, 7, 4) and I love the...
I’m about to pull the trigger on an ESP through Flood Ford. I had planned to get it before the 12 month mark but when I compare the plans, the price goes up by $100 if mileage is over 12,000. Mine is 14,200. Is there a mileage verification that happens?
It stays in its own little zippered pocket of my purse. The well on the top of the dash works nicely and is out of the way of the cup holders and charging ports.
I have an ‘18 MAX XLT with 202a + HD tow + Driver Assist. Originally I wanted a Limited specifically for the LED headlight option, and hubby really wanted the power running boards. We couldn’t justify the extra $3K+ just for those two features so we went with the XLT.
I had read about some of...
My daughter’s 20” fully rigid mountain bike fit perfectly with the standard basket.
My husband’s bike is a 29er (Transition Sentinel) and I have plus tires on my bike. All of them fit well and we haven’t had any tire rub issues.
We did a 400mi round trip adventure for an Enduro race up bumpy...

Unless someone is sitting behind you (like a child) and then they get crushed. It’s actually a legitimate issue for many rear-end collisions, especially higher speed ones. https://carseatblog.com/38404/collapsing-seat-backs-what-can-you-do/
First, what are your needs?
How many kids and how old? Any potential for more? What is the max number of passengers you would need to put in your car?
Do you do any towing and will the new vehicle be used for that?
Second, what are your wants? 4WD, driver assistance features (lane keeping...
Also, what kind of car seats are the kids in?
Many forward-facing car seats don’t install properly in the 3rd row due to interference from the non-removable head restraints in the 3rd row outboard seats.
I also own a Clek Foonf and have worked extensively with the Diono seats.
The Dionos are extremely finicky and often difficult to install. They can be useful in some situations, like fitting 3 kids in a very small width backseat, but outside of those situations, they are very rarely worth their...
