Here’s the article I’ve shared previously on positioning your mirrors to avoid blind spots and the need for a rearward head check.

Sweet. I also have a Nuna Rava. You can use the vehicle’s lower anchors to install rear-facing up until kiddo weighs 35 lb rear-facing or 40 lb forward facing. When your oldest reaches one of those limits, I would suggest passing the Rava down to the younger child and getting a new seat for the...
Deadman, the install with the Pinnacle ClickTight with the inflatable belts is only slightly different than it is with a standard belt. You just have to add the step of switching the lap portion of the belt into automatic locking mode by pulling it all the way out from the lower retractor before...
Sweet. The Boulevards with the blue clips can use the inflatable belts. If the child weighs less than 40 lb, you can install with the vehicle's lower anchor LATCH system.
Here are the instructions for the Boulevard.
❖ For convertible car seats (G Series: Roundabout, Marathon, Boulevard...
The Pinnacle does not have the blue clips, so yours must be a different model. The seats with blue clips are the G-series convertibles (Marathon, Boulevard, Advocate) which are approved for use with the inflatable belts as well as the newer seats Allegiance and Emblem, which are not approved for...
Britax Inflatable Seat Belt Policy
Can I use an inflatable seat belt to install my Britax car seat?
Not all models of BRITAX car seats are approved for use with inflatable seat belts. At this time, ONLY the Ford Motor Company (Ford and Lincoln vehicles) Inflatable seat belt system is approved...
aggiegrad05, if your seats have the blue clips, those are different model Britax seats. Depending on the exact model, yours may or may not be approved with the inflatable belts. The ones that are approved for use with the inflatable belts will by-pass the blue lock-off clips (leave the clips...
Deadman, are your Britax seats those EXACT ones, the Grow With You Plus, or do they just look similar but have a different name like the Britax Frontier or Britax Pinnacle?
The Grow With You and Grow With You Plus just came out in the last few weeks. If you’ve had your seats for more than a...
Hi there. I’m a certified child passenger safety technician (aka car seat tech).
What is the make and model of car seats that you have and how much do the kids weigh?
There is no way to disable the inflatable seat belts but there are a number of seats that are approved for use with the...
If you want a 3rd row, you’ll really need to just get one that has a 3rd row as you won’t have seat belts. It isn’t just bolting in the seat. The outboard seat belts are mounted in the side pillars and the center belt comes from the ceiling.
You don’t have to use the keyfob. You can just touch the little bumps on the top of the exterior door handle after you get out to lock the doors and fold the mirrors. I keep my fob buried in my purse and very rarely take it out.
It should be the same as your 350. When we have the bike rack on and put it in reverse, a box pops up on the cluster screen asking you to press OK to disable the warning. If you shut the car off, it forgets your selection and you have to re-press OK again.
Did you try pressing the button on the dash? Mine was accidentally pushed once and I thought something was wrong as I couldn’t get it to work by going through the cluster screen menu. All I had to do was push the button on the dash to reactivate it.
With mirrors positioned properly, you basically eliminate blind spots.
This article is super helpful: https://www.caranddriver.com/features/a15131074/how-to-adjust-your-mirrors-to-avoid-blind-spots/
I have 3 (10yo in a backless booster, 7yo in a high back booster for long drives or backless booster for around town, and a harnessed 4yo). We keep all 3 in the 2nd row 90% of the time. It is really nice to have the option of folding the full 3rd row when we have a bunch of gear with us. On long...
Who will primarily be sitting in the 2nd row? If you have kids, the bench usually makes more sense even if you plan to remove the center seat.
If you don’t have kids and will primarily have adults in the 2nd and 3rd row, the captain’s chairs are a nice option but I wouldn’t say necessary...
Lol. My first car didn’t have cruise control. I even had to turn a crank to make the windows go up and down. It didn’t even have a keyfob clicker.
The Expedition is the “highest end” vehicle I’ve ever had, but yes, I’ve been very fortunate to have budgeted well and been able to afford newer...
I think you misread my comment. I had a double negative “isn’t...not” saying that they will still ticket you. Speeding for the sake of improving MPGs isn’t going to get you out of a ticket.
Do other vehicles not slow your vehicle when going down a hill? A cop isn’t going to not pull you over because you were speeding in order improve MPGs. If my car allowed me to go over the set speed I selected, I’d be mad that it wasn’t functioning properly.
The Atlas actually has more cargo space behind the 3rd row than the Expedition and only 2 cubic feet less behind 2nd row with 3rd row folded.
The standard length Expy and Atlas are very comparable in size. What makes the Expy $20K more is the body-on-frame design which ups the tow capacity.
If...
How many kids do you anticipate potentially having? How long do you anticipate keeping the new vehicle? Do you plan to tow anything with it?
If planning 2 or fewer kids OR planning to keep this vehicle 6 years or less, I’d definitely suggest a larger mid-size SUV like the VW Atlas, Honda Pilot...
