    More than likley it is in the PATS sercurity system. When the pats system is activated it cuts power to the fuel injectors to cause a no start condition. It could be in your alarm or it could be that your factory key is going bad.

    Clean your battery terminal conections and then also check the conections down at the starter. It sounds like either a coroded conection or a loose one.

    No there is not a way to tell by just listining :( once you have a problem like this you have to remove and disasemble the engine to verify what is wrong.

    Compressor Problem

    More than likley the rubber mounting isolators. Common problem for them to wear out and when they do you can feel the compressor running through out the whole truck. Should be a pretty cheap fix just kinda a pain to get to them.

    The relay setup will work on all vehicles and eliminates any extra start up load on the factory harness. It also usually resolves the issue with only 1 light coming on.

    That #5 plug would plug into the wires on the trucks wiring harness that normally plug into the headlight. That is what tells the relay to turn on and off.

    What has your average outside temperature been at? Could it be that with the cold weather the mechanical fan is "over cooling" since it is always turning? Might try covering the lower half of the radiator and see if that helps or go to " Electric Fans " that way you can set a temp for them...

    On AllData for my '02 when I type in C197 in the search it comes up with a list of air conditioning parts, but none of them use that connector so I have no clue what it is.

    From what I found on AllData it seems like it is connector C197 but I cannot find ANYTHING that goes to it. I will keep digging though.
