I have the same issue; like previously stated in this thread, I smack the chrome trim molding with my hand or gently with a rubber mallet, which fixes the issue. I find mine does it more often when it is colder. However, I do not remember the last time it did it since I have been driving my F150...
I am actually having the same issue as you with the DUAL and REAR control options being reversed as opposed to what the physical hard buttons are showing. ALTHOUGH I do not believe my on screen dual buttons "locks" - I believe it works properly just in the reverse of the physical dual button.
You should be able to unplug the coil plug harness on #7 and move it to the adjacent coil plug and see if it follows, if it doesn't then it could be a compression or fuel issue.
Forscan is also a viable option - it allows you to change almost if not everything that the dealer can do. For about $100 for the software (if you want if for more than 2 months) and the hardware required; obd2 USB adapter.
There is a module called the radio control Module (I believe) it is located on the right pillar beside the second row headrest. Or at least that's where they used to place it. That module controls the key fobs, ford pass connect and the am/fm I believe. But I don't know much else about it.
I bought the dorman aftermarket lamps but am now having an issue in my BCM. I have a 3rd Gen Expy (2017) and my Bdycm is throwing a couple codes and shows that the circuit is shorted to ground - it is only putting out 1.2v on the puddle lamp wire. So beware of the aftermarket puddle lamps...

Be careful with the ebay ones - I ordered one for my 3rd gen (2017) and the wire colors and pinouts are wrong. The connectors are right but where it depicts the wires and their colors in the connectors is wrong. Just saying for if you were needing these for wiring help.
And I am not saying this...
Can you upload a picture of your key fob? I do know in forscan on my 2017 expy, a 2017 explorer, and a 2019 f-250 I have seen the setting for smart unlock (possibly what you are looking for) but on my expy and the F-250 the setting was default on even though neither vehicle has intelligent...
I have been using Auxito's leds for a while in my 2017 Expy EL XLT. This is the set that I got:

That sounds like mine, I got my extended bumper to bumper warranty through my credit lender its called the Triton Package and is a full bumper to bumper warranty with a $200 deductible per part without labor charges (I believe)
It could be a safety feature, I had a aftermarket JVC single din that would stop all functions and display check wiring if any of the wires crossed so the radio could be doing something like that, if you have the ability check for codes with forscan you will definitely have APIM codes or radio...
The simplest way to check the fuse if you can't find it in the manual is to check each side of every fuse (I know it's time consuming) but you should come across at least 1 fuse that is broken/blown replace that fuse and it should fix it. If you don't find a broken fuse let me know I have a...
If you do find out the differences or similarities in the mounting let me know, I am curious as to either switching to the chrome tubular running board like the F-150's have or the power running board (probably fixed chrome), I have a 2017 Expy EL XLT so mine should be similar to yours.
I have a 3rd gen (2017) expy el xlt with the big touchscreen and factory sub, let me know what you find regarding switching to an aftermarket unit in yours, I am curious as to doing it in any future expy's that I get.
No because 1: The 15+MY uses a hard to find 4 pin plug that has low beam, high beam, running light and ground all combined. The 14-MY has a 3 pin plug (low, high, ground) for the headlight & a 2 pin plug for the side running light.
Otherwise I don’t see a reason as to why it wouldn’t work. I...
A clock spring is in short a spool of wire wound in a circle that connects the steering wheel buttons to the vehicle so the wires don’t pinch or twist and break when turning the wheel
