are the hoses getting warm or hot? There is a valve that is vacuum actuated on the passenger side above the engine. If the vacuum line has come off then it won't make any heat.....
Just a thought,
Matt
wow.... What is the price of Petrol over there? I didn't know they had big, lumbering SUV's over there...... well you could get a code scanner on ebay or take it to a shop with a scanner.....
Matt
Yes there is a silencer that connects the airbox to the fender opening. Removing that piece and coming up with some straight hose to bridge the gap will give a performance boost. The stock piece has a smaller opening than the throttle body.

If the dealer pulled the chip you can really screw some things up.... so I would assume the programmer is what the truck is running off now if it is running okay. Also know that you will probably always need to be running your truck on super unleaded. I would definitely try to contact the...

check out this video.... this is an interview with the K&N VP at the SEMA show. They actually built a test fixture to try and prove to everybody that the oil doesn't get sucked into the intake. I agree with...
We'll just keep the forums short since I don't know the rules about directly selling here. I'm not a vender just an engineer and fellow gearhead with an excellent understanding of ford fuel injection systems. Anyone interested in custom tuning just contact me on the email address I gave below...
LOL.... yeah when I was filling mine up with e85 in the Chicago area, E85 was kind of a novelty then.... They would always say "I didn't know ford made a flex fuel expedition yet" and I would always reply "they don't"...... I always got a funny look since I already filled the truck up by then.

just add some gasoline to the tank when it starts getting low and it should turn the check engine light off when the fuel correction gets below 20 percent.
yes they come pre-oiled when new. If the K&N Element is Red then it is oiled already (the oil is red). The element is white when washed and free of oil/dirt.
Matt
You can mix it 50/50 and not have any problems, but any stronger than that then the fuel system starts getting into too much of a fuel correction. Mine threw the check engine light when I got to 70% E85. Also without adding ignition timing the truck will run like a turd on e85.
If you want...
Don't use the filter without re-oiling it! The holes in the cotton on these filters are big! without the oil you will have 500 grit sand paper in your intake tract and the rest of the engine. You need the oil to trap the dirt. Just don't over-oil the filter as you will have the problems...
unless you tweak some of the parameters in the computer you will get a check engine light and a rough/lean running engine.... I did it in my 03 but only after some changes to the calibration and careful monitoring of the air/fuel ratio.
If you order it directly from Sniper tell them that Matt Robinson referred you (the owners know who I am). I am going to start offering my custom tuning services to you guys in the near future. I can fix all the stuff that annoys you about your truck now like the 3/4 throttle to make it...
The canned tunes are all the same no matter makes them. I can really make the tune awesome for you though. Just with some transmission changes I can make the tuck a whole lot better to drive. I promise not to break anything....LOL
Tell them Matt Robinson sent you...
Matt
the mass air meter is responsible for measuring the incoming air. on the stock setup it is inside the fliter housing between the filter and the throttle body. I would check for vacuum or intake tract leaks before I started looking at the mass air meter. Any air that can make its way into the...
Since the incident I modified to the tune to shut off half of the fuel injectors during the shift and softened the shift a bit from where it was so it still has a little bit of oomph over stock during the shift but it is much better on the driveline. It feels only slightly firmer at WOT than...
The single most restrictive part on these trucks is the piece of plastic between the airbox and the fender that reduces the inlet noise...... just removing/replacing this piece would pay divends in airflow.
Oh I saw the truck again on that did the before and after stuff on the dyno. It was a...
well there is a market for high performance SUVs.... obviously Range rover offers a 400 horsepower supercharged model but some of us don't want to pay that pricetag. I personally don't like going from my other vehicles which are extremely powerful to the turd my Exped was stock. I love...
