FitcamX is great… super easy and clean install… I have no desire for rear camera so I have no idea how hard it to run that wire, but the front is. 5 min or less, hidden, app works (and after install u need to change the resolution from default)..;I don’t want GPS or Speed. The point of the...
Sway bar bushings… order from aftermarket http://suspension.com. OEM are to soft and quickly deteriorate.. Helwig bushings are to soft as well.
Could also be a bad 10 speed transmission.. take it in that is what warranty is for, the earlier you take it in the better, and call customer assist...
Some people lock (disconnect) the shutter open. You need the air flow to not overheat. I think the procedure is on this site (you basically get them open then unplug them)
I’m sure there are econ9mic reasons to your choice, but 2018-2019 isn’t the best vintage. I’d definitely get it inspected. By a mechanic you trust, if they won’t let you take it for the inspection walk away.
Weird things happen with lemon law rights if purchase state is different then registration state. I’d be cautious!
Better to let the dealers trade or swap the vehicle.
In my life when ever I bought even a local dealer swap vehicle there have been issues, like missing accessories or...
You have to play the game… not only in how you report the issue, but how the service writer types it in.
Examples:
Cam Phaser… engine knocks excessively at startup cold, sounds like it will blow apart, worse under acceleration
Waste Gate…. Engine doesn’t accelerate in corner, makes huge...
The tranny replacement is an economic game, if the truck is low mileage and new, the dealer has the option to a replacement. Older nits have a different protocol. @HazBeen has posted the TSB and specific repair/replacement criteria.
A 21 w/ $18k should still be under the bumper to 3/36 warranty and the 5/60 power train. If your anxious you can always buy Ford an extended warranty.
Otherwise go with your gut, warranty has your back and if it’s a bad rig, sell it
@Skud run around sucks, technically the tire warranty is from the tire manufacturer not Ford. A trip to the tire store may circumvent the idiocy, but I would suspect (hope) the General Manager when he hears the bad data flow will make it right.
Transmission work should fix skip. Hope your under warranty, it could be big $$
You need to have service advisor add the “skips gears when shifting” to repair order
If you have had the problem documented in the RO a long time ago, that’s the “event” go find the dealership General Manager and let him know. If he won’t take care of it call Ford… you have to give dealer a chance to make it right first.
Documented complaints are your friend
You’re blocking the sensor with your hand position. Hands at 10 and 2.
@SyndicateZ some sunglasses also block sensor but I’d be it’s your hand position
The requirement is 4wd with snow tires, 2wd drive must be chained up. I’d get cables not chains. Maybe time for a new 4wd truck. CO is brutal in winter, you don’t want to be the guy holding up traffic at 35mph, they aren’t nice to flat landers.
Wasn’t there a thermostat redesign for 2018-2019 with TSB? Maybe even a recall? Something about them and manufacturer changes. O just can’t recall what (damn old age)
