is it 4wd? I dont think the King Ranch wheels are the same bolt pattern as your model. When the King Ranch was introduced, it was with a 6 lug pattern. Maybe you can post a pic of what you mean.
hmm...need to try that. The squeek has stopped as it is summer and 100+ everyday. Its also bone dry w/ no humidity. again, its really a winter issue for some reason.
LOL! is the dealer Woody Anderson? I used to live there so I know all about them. If they get $650 to repair the burnt wires then I think I have found my calling...:p
trying to visualize the red on black look. Any photoshop experts out there want to take a crack at it? I also want to paint mine, just not sure what color.
curious what is burned? melted connectors or just burned wires. I would just rewire any damaged wiring versus throwing the baby out with the bathwater! Maybe I am oversimplifying this?
yeah I am leaning towards the 4.56. going from 3.73 to 4.10 I dont think would be enough of a difference to warrant all the money spent to change them. I will be adding a Richmond Locker when the new gears go in but thats still a few months down the road.
I have done this before on a dodge durango that I went from 3.55 to 4.56. I didnt upsize my tires, just looking to get into the power band faster. It wasnt too bad on highway as long as it was under 60. It would really launch out of the hole too!
you need to pull the radio to get a look at the plug and connectors. It sounds like its got a remote turn on wire to a hot spot. I know it was common to run power to the fuse panel back in the day. Hopefully the previous owner didnt cut off the plugs and wire directly into the harness.
I picked them up tonight. They are brand new in the box. 1.8" drop in the front and 1.6" drop in the rear. Heavy box too, weighs 75lbs.
I hate to ask what you paid too...
since the subject of lowering came up, I thought I would post a link to a local add for lowering springs at a good price. http://lasvegas.craigslist.org/pts/1782270961.html
these have been listed for quite a while so he might be ready to cut someone a deal.
hmmm...never even considered trying that. I have thought about converting the exterior front end to the 07+ style. If ya start this project, maybe do a nice writeup on here with lots of pics
