    Cable plug in. toms89 is correct I was wrong it looks more like the power steering plug. It appears to have the clip missing, that is why it fell off.

    There are 2 plugs in that area and 1 is for the power steering which has a long clip attached to the wire and the other does not so it maybe the oil pressure sensor wire.
