Been thinking about going the power deploy route myself, just can't seem to find an application from Amp Research. Definately not going through the factory for theirs.
That's almost impossible! Who on here has access to a dyno? And if you do, I wanna become your best friend!! Anyway...
My butt dyno says mine is working. Mpg? Minor increase, I can't keep my foot off of the loud pedal. Makes it fun to drive!
I had similar issues on my 08 but no CEL. We had to run a power balance through the OBD port to determine that cylinders 2 and 5 were the issue. Changed the coil packs on those two cylinders and problem solved. Having the info that cyl 7 is the problem, just swap it out with a new coil, about...
Hate to jump into the pi%^ing contest, just want to add, I've been running K&N CAI's for the past 15 years on 6 different vehicles and all I can report is positive gains in each application. Bottom line, to each their own, I'll keep using mine and it will be one of the first upgrades if/when I...
Piece of advice I live by...better to have and not need than need and not have! If you plan a ski boat of any size(21 ft+) you'll be glad you have it. When I'm hitched to my 22 ft Chaparral there's an extra 6000 lbs back there.
In a word, YES! Not sure if it makes a drastic difference in 0-60 times, but overall drive ability is greatly improved. What makes it worth it to me is the ability to go an extra 40-60 mi per fill up.
When in doubt, run the VIN. I would like to say "usually" if you find the 3.73 rear it's gonna have the HD trailer package. Problem to that, owners/dealers aren't gonna know that either.
Nope, not yet. If you're looking for a monitor I think BullyDog has something if I remember correctly. I had good results with HyperTech so I stuck with it. The CTS is really cool though...
I've run HyperTech power programmer III on my 05 SuperCrew 5.4 and am currently running HyperTech Max Energy on my 08 Expy. No fancy displays to look at, just plug in, load program, and unplug.
You need to press the Aux button a few times to get to the DVD, same as getting to Sat radio(if you have that). Then as mentioned prior, 2 and 4 at the same time toggles te modes. When in dual play, a little headphone icon appears on the radio display and then you can switch back to another...
Look under the rear and see if you have bags or not. If you don't, lift away. If you do, then you must do a conversion before lifting. Hopefully you just see some coils under there and you'll be good to go.
Word of caution on the lift, if you have the air suspension you're outta luck. Otherwise, the 3/2 Truxxx is a good one, has treated me just fine! Check autoanything.com for some of the other stuff. Both my lift and K&N FIPK came from there.
Short of going all technical, a V6 twin turbo pushing 365 hp and 420 lb ft torque all while achieving 20-22 mpg and having the capability of towing over 10k.
