With LED's you need to get the same color as the lens they are behind. if you use white leds with a red lens they will be much dimmer then they should.
I replaced mine on my excursion and expedition with 912 red LEDs, now quality and brightness all depends highly on the manufacturer. I've had...
After buying my '98 XLT 5.4 in August 2010 with 63k miles on it from my grandpas company (an oil field service company). It was used to run from the office in Anchorage to Valdez AK for a few years of its life. After that it was parked at the office for use of company people who came into town...

First time i could hook my hose up today and i had to wash the Expy as it has had a long hard dirty winter.

the 4V 5.4 was not put in until 1999.
the 1998 navigators shared the same 2V 5.4 the expedition had. it was rated lower then the 99-up's somewhere around 230hp and i forget the tq.
i tell ya my Expy is just like the energizer bunny..keeps racking 250-300 miles a week without asking for more then fuel and washer fluid.
i need to get my snow tires off soon as the roads are dry and wearing away at them daily.
it just rolled over 99k miles the other day :( going to be at...
i like the looks of the expy over the years and if the '15 navigator is any indication i'm sure i'll love the '15 expedition.
keep it looking like the f-150, in fact i would like if they went back to being the same truck from the doors forward as its a big body on frame truck based SUV it...
chances are it was ice on suspension parts...you should hear my excursion after going through deep snow and sitting all day.
My expedition needs a cleaning badly..shes just been racking the miles on...over 97k now!
welcome!
looks like larger then stock tires on it to me, possibly 285/75 16's which would make it a tad taller then most Ex's plus the EB's most likely had air ride which makes them sit lower.
i think when you get to this point its a good time to look over the condition of the body, frame and interior before investing in the drive train. Then decide if its time to rebuild or replace it with something newer.
