    They don't generate much heat at all! Just be aware the "warm white" units are quite yellow in appearance -- probably around 2300K. I do wish they were a bit more white. I think ideal would be more like 3300K.

    Sorry to say the instructions linked above are from the Factory Service Manual (FSM) so I don't know what other instructions would be available. I feel your frustration! I had both my front window regulators replaced and I was lucky that I never experienced any issues.

    If you can disable "fast flash" with FORscan, that would be better than installing resistors. The resistors dissipate a lot of power and they can get HOT -- especially when brake lights are involved as they can stay ON for relatively long periods of time.
