sounds exactly like the flex plate noise i had on my explorer. it was cracked in about 7 diff places and about to explode in the tranny.
but, it could be a totally different sound w/your expy...just going by what you said it sounds very close.
i clean them with armor all cleaning wipes / magic erasers then condition them with lenox(i think thats it) leather conditioner. kept the seats in my '96 explorer looking like new to this day.
those are 18s, same linclon ones we have on my grandpas f-150.
i personally like the factory 20s more then any aftermarket. another great option is the factory 22s off the harley or lairat limited f-150s.
i have the bixenon kits in 4 of my trucks, love the. up here you need highbeams! back before they had the hi/lows i ran 4 Hellas as my high beams on my explorer.
heres the one my truck had on it when i got it. antenna has been removed but the base is still there and all wiring. my truck was wired up w/a 2 way for my grandpas oil field company.
my top buying anything used is 150k, no matter the records..ect. of course money dictates everything. but i buy as low mile as i can afford.
highest mile thing i own and is driven daily is my '98 explorer with 144k.
luckily my expedition only has 83k :)
mine sat, its been doing alot of that. after getting the 20s on the excursion i just wanna drive it. now my grandparents left on vacation so i have the chrysler 300C hemi and lairat super crew f-150 to drive :)
