I thought I needed an adjustment on mine as it sits higher than the deicing wires in the windshield. But as
i look at pictures, it seems they all are that way. True?
You're correct- I thought the extra length was more in the tail end. Anyway, it depends on what you're towing. For me, towing a 25' Airstream the regular should work fine. It've been towing it happily with a 2012 Durango and the Expy should blow that away.
It you tow a heavy trailer, the shorter version would tow better. It has a shorter distance from the rear axle to the hitch, which improves stability. We never use the third row, it's always down so we have plenty of room.
Thanks for the clarification. Don't worry, my dogs are only in the car if it's cool enough and well ventilated. I've been traveling with and trialing dogs long enough to know how to do it and when to avoid it.
I didn't find anything in the manual about the alarm modes. Can I assume full alarm includes noise sensors inside the vehicle ( breaking glass for example) and perimeter is just the doors and hood?
So if I lock the vehicle with my dogs inside I only want to use perimeter?
Generally it's a good idea (IMO) that it goes in to park automatically. The only thing is that if you go through a car wash you have to put in the "Stay in Neutral" mode.
Only on the rear? Is there a reason not to put them on the front too?
I love WeatherTech stuff. I put their floor mats and cargo mat in yesterday. I wanted the window deflectors, but they don't have them for the Expy.
I'm a newbie, but when I picked up my Expedition Friday, the sales man said if the running boards stop working, the first thing to do is wash off any mud or debris. He said people come in all the time and that's all they have to do. I don't know if that applies to you, but I thought I'd put it...
New York too. Why? Because no one can make eye contact with you and know if you've seen them before going through an intersection.Tinting front row windows is dangerous.
I towed my 6600 lb (fully loaded) Airstream across the county for 6 years with a 2012 Dodge Durango Hemi. It did just fine. I put it on the scales and everything was within limits (barely), full loaded with people, dogs and toys.
It was time for a new vehicle so we just got an Expedition...
