    Ford diesel pick up.

Clicking noise from rear AC unit

It is a common problem. If you don't turn the temp controls all the way hot or cold it seems to prolong getting or prevent the problem altogether. What happens every time you start the truck is the door motor cycles and if it goes to the full stop on either hot or cold it will break a tooth on...

    Cat delete

Adding the resistor and capacitor circuit to the down stream cat efficiency sensor fools the ECM into thinking the cat is there and working properly by smoothing out the voltage wave form from the sensor to the ECM and not throwing a code. Has nothing to do with the heater side of the sensor...

    Replaced Tires.. Game changer..

Tried the LT version for a week....terrible changed back to passenger. Even with the properly adjusted new PSI the LT ride was way too harsh. LT must run at a higher pressure than passenger to carry the same load rating.

    Replaced Tires.. Game changer..

Try them. They are like a Rolex...high end. Try a Rolex and if one was given to you the Timex would be retired just like my Seiko was 35 years ago. True there is crafty marketing going on and that is why Rolex wandered from their roots to being known as a luxury line now. I own their "tool"...

    Replaced Tires.. Game changer..

LOL. I just bought new Defender LTX M/S last night for my 05 Explorer. I run these tires on almost everything for over 30 years with the exception to the CJ7 and the GT....

    ZAK C500 Engine Oil Booster

And get a refund on the Bio clean charge....it's the cost of doing business during COVID. It was probably just a quick wipe with one sheet of paper towel and a dab of rubbing alcohol.

    Replacement brake pads

Nah not for me, anything we own from construction equipment to my '16 Expy...only oem parts. Anything I have to repair even the kitchen faucet gets OEM. Only if a part is no longer available will I buy the highest quality aftermarket replacement. My brother in law on the other hand has a fleet...

    Replacement brake pads

I use only OEM parts. Never an issue. The trucks were engineered with them.
  17. lbv150

Fixed one issue and another arises...

That takes a high temperature silicone hose, not a common vacuum or fuel hose. I just did them on my '04.

dust caps.. needed? on '20 plat

Yes, replace that cap immediately, don't let any dirt/dust get in there. It will grind up the wheel bearings very quick.

    2017 Water Leaks

Sorry can't help with this, but I knew back in the early '80s sun roofs, moon roofs and T tops are crap. Unless you like leaks and problems.
  20. lbv150

Its almost time for new tires. Oh no!, a tire thread!

I stick with OEM sizes and run the Michelin Defender LTX MS on most of my vehicles. Don't run LT size tires on an SUV.

2005 Expedition Low Oil light and engine knocking

Engine is done. Knock is bad, no fix for it unless rebuilt or replaced with a reman short block. I will bet the oil was not changed every 3K...

    Annual Oil Change

Every 3K miles for me regardless of time. Oil & filters are cheap compared to internal engine components and turbos.

Oil Life - What would you do?

I change oil using Motocraft semi synth every 3000 miles...Oil change is cheap compared to engine components.

    Air conditioning

Blower motor resistor...very easy to change. Common problem on these.
