    I know what the code means, what I don't know is why two new rear passenger side O2 sensors are coated in black soot. The soot causes the sensor to fail, giving the P0420 code.

    I keep getting a P0420 on my 1999 Expedition, 5.4L. I changed out all 4 O2 sensors, it came back after a few days. Took her to the shop for a full scan, thought maybe a stuck open fuel injector, but the scan showed everything functioning perfectly except the downstream passenger side O2 sensor...

    Have had an engine tick for some time, thought it was a lifter, ticked for a minute or so, then fade away.     I got everything from Amazon and Summit racing for under $3,000 thank God for tax refunds, my wife would never let me get that stuff!     I have a 1999 Expedition with the tronsponder key and a separate fob and I was wondering if the new key with the buttons right on it would work. I called Ford and they said the didn't know if the computer would except it. Anybody know?

    Clicking from under dash.......

    1999 Expedition, E.B. Edition, 5.4 every so often I hear a lot of clicking from the dash area on the drivers side, almost like a relay going crazy. Clicking really fast, pause, click some more. After a few minutes it goes away. I have no idea of where to start looking...........

    Keep the air ride. First, great ride. Second, self leveling with load. Third, it's an automatic lift kit, put it in 4 wheel drive and she lifts a couple inches higher.

    Yep, had to replace my windshield because water was dripping onto the GEM. Novus glass came ro my house and replaced it for $200.00 with a lifetime leak warranty.

    No need to disconnect the battery. Have you had the recall work done involving an added fuse just under the brake fluid reservoir? That's the only fire issue. As for maintenance, just follow the owners manual.
