so on one of my trips home I was running my heat and suddenly my dash lights all went dim and also did my radio light, the only thing to stay fully lit up was my high beam indicator and my turn signal arrows, I came to find this only happens when my blower motor is turned on and i also have my headlights on (blinkers still work if blower motor is on and headlights are off)
Also my blower motor only works till mid range (2 of the 4 notches)

Anyone else experience this that could help point me in the right direction?

You might have a leaking windshield that is leaking water onto the GEM module. Has the windshield ever been replaced?

A good glass man can remove the windshield without breaking it.

As far as the GEM is concerned, most have replaced it. I've wondered about the possibility of "baking" it under low heat for a few hours to evaporate the water. Don't see why it wouldn't work as long as it wasn't to hot and cooked the electronics. If mine ever leaks I'll try it on the shoe rack in the clothes drier on low and see what happens.

When I had gem issues I set it along with the fuse block near a pellet stove for 24 hours. Re-installed. Have not had issue since.

Thanks for all your input! well first off I think i will get the glass fixed and look into the price of a gem this weekend when im back home and can use my shop
Any ideas on cost and where to look for a new GEM?.... I really don't want to have to go with motorcraft and pay an arm and a leg
