What to use to cover chrome trim on center console??

Since it's just chromed plastic, you could give it a light sanding and paint it any color you like. It could also be dipped (hydrographics) to look like carbon fiber or any number of colors and patterns. This is just one of the many places that do it. Hydro Graphics Inc. You may get input to...

TIRES for before lift? and after lift?

Impatience is the toughest thing to overcome in the process.

Anyone try taking of the gauge needles?

The best way to remove those needles is to use two teaspoons. You put one on each side of the needle and use them as levers to pry the needle straight out.

    Which expedition to buy?

The good thing about the Expedition is that it was never a groundbreaking vehicle. Pretty much every part of the truck was already well proven in the F150. There are no 'lemon' years for the Expedition, so it's most important to find a truck that was well maintained and hopefully from a region...

TIRES for before lift? and after lift?

The general rule of thumb here is to start with the most limiting factors and logically move through the project. The idea is to avoid having to back track and re-do something because of poor planning. You don't want to end up saying "now that I added the lift, those tires look too small" or...

    Heavy duty rear bumpers?

The Tactical Armor Group guys make a fantastic product. It's worth the money. If you are going to mount a spare tire on there, you really want to make sure that it's sturdy. That's quite a bit of weight bouncing around back there. Front version below \ / \/

    4-Wheel drive upgrades.

I'm sure it would be fantastic, but again, by the time you add a good set of locking hubs, you're going to be near that $2,000 mark.

What drivetrain mode for chains on all 4 wheels?

Definitely 4 hi, unless you are really slogging through some nasty stuff at less than 20mph, then you could go 4 low.

    2002 Ford Expedition 2WD front Rotor/Hub

There are about a hundred youtube videos about how to install 'old style' wheel bearings. Some unorganized thoughts: You never mentioned packing the bearings. Inner grease seals? They will make a ton of racket if you over torque them. Why not replace the inner bearings too? If it was loose...

    4-Wheel drive upgrades.

My previous post may not be accurate: If you don't mind spending about $2K, there is a way to add locking hubs to a Ford. They don't specifically say if it fits the F150 / Expedition though. BTF Unit-Bearing Eliminator Hub Assembly :: Blue Torch Fab

2007 Limited Radio Replacment with Digital Question

I've never been a fan of these generic, china made units. You really take your chances if anything goes wrong since there's no real 'manufacturer'. I think for the same money you could get something from a known manufacturer.

    Speed Sensative Steering.

I would go to the auto parts store and have them look up the ps pump for your truck and see if it has the plug on it. If it doesn't, then you may just have to swap it out for the correct pump. (or the original one, if the shop still has it) The F150 pump may just be running full out without any...

    Manual calls for 87 Octane

The only vehicle (besides my Ducati) that I've used premium fuel in was my Scout II. It had a completely built Dodge 440 in it that would ping on regular 87 octane. With the exception of high compression or forced induction motors, modern computer controlled vehicles really don't benefit from...

    Plugged PCV in 08 5.4

Rule 1: Never take diagnostic advice from a quick lube place. They perform the most basic of maintenance tasks, and they still manage to get that wrong 20% of the time. If you're concerned, go to a real mechanic and see what they have to say about the issue. It the antifreeze level low...

    Head Unit

For years I said that I'd never own another Pioneer product, but then in a moment of weakness I bought an AVIC touchscreen nav unit. I ended up LOVING it. It gives you just about every feature found in new trucks. Bluetooth, Nav, Sirius, Video, backup cam, you name it. They say a double din...

    hub centric wheel adapters ?

Runout would be movement of the hub when spinning. This can be 'side to side' or 'out of round'. That adapter should look like it is part of the hub when you spin it. If you see any wobble at all, it isn't seated properly. That space between the adapter and the hole in the wheel needs to be...

    hub centric wheel adapters ?

That could be the problem, if it keeps the wheel from fitting tight against the adapter. Is there any slop between the hub flange and the adapter and/or the adapter flange and the wheel? I know that there are companies that make shims to take up that slack. Also do you notice any runout when...

    undercoating durability

Don't even think of using the undercoating. The bedliner works fantastic, assuming that you prep the surface correctly. I've used it on the front bumper of my truck as well as on the fender flares. Tough as nails. Use undercoating for its intended purpose, under the car for sound proofing...

    In a bind, no AWD/4HI/4LO :-(

If all the fuses are good, then my guess is shift motor. Is there a vacuum accumulator in the system? I'm not sure if the center axle disconnect will stay locked when you hit the gas and get in to the boost.
