They do, I was rather surprised. Did this mod to the wife's Exploder too.
The lights are low enough to not shine on a trailer while backing it up and teflect i to your eyes.
I read on another forum that someone else did exactly that. Top screw had no spacer, bottom had 3/8 spacer which pushed the bottom out enough to clear. I have not personally done this, so I can't assure you it works. I don't see why it wouldn't, but it would depend on the depth of the pocket on...
Well, he beat me to it.
Looks good!
My plan is to trim them around the profile of the running board, a little cleaner look. I like the way they look on those newer trucks.
A decent trans cooler is only about $40. A whole lot cheaper than a transmission that overheated......
Don't forget to add additional fluid once you add on the cooler.
Sort of. You can get the standard mud flaps for the trucks without the power step and use a 3/8 spacer on the bottom screw when you attach it. This will give the step adequate space to travel past the mudflap without leaving a noticable gap. Or, get a super cheap set of walmart flat mudflaps and...
super bright, plenty of light for backing up. 2 wires, positive and negative. Positive was tapped into the trailer wiring (center pin of the 7 pin connector) and used a self tapping screw into the back of the hitch for ground wire. Lights come on with reverse lamps as normal. So simple a caveman...

Swapped out the stock amp for a tiny little aftermarket amp and didn't have to cut any harnesses or purchase any additional components. I had some 8 ga power and ground wire lying around, and used the line level inputs for the amp by tapping the factory sub harness with a set of T-taps. Little...
I recently upgraded my factory sub to a 2 ohm slim 12" sub in the factory enclosure (with extensive modification) and was using the stock amp to push it. I know others just toss an 8" sub in the factory enclosure then add an amp to push it. This worked quite well well for me, to be honest. But...
Bought a rubber bed mat from a 2016 F-150 for $40. Cut it down to width (51 1/2") and trimmed for length to fit inside the EL. Should help protect the carpet and be a bit more resilient.
It is every 10 years, I got Tech when I was 15 and remember renewing it 1 time. Hopefully i didn't let it lapse!
Good install by the way!! I would make a brush "guard" or at least an angled piece of metal to help deter branches from catching on the antenae mount. Just a little piece of sheet...
I would do it a couple days AFTER installing new tires. Got to run them over the road and burn off the sealant they put on new tires. Its a little greasy, which can cost you traction. Drive them over the road for 4-500 miles before trying to be a superhero against the cheby. That and let a...
Those snails really are engineering and mathmatical marvels! I learned quite a bit with the Subaru (some of it the hard way) and have barely scratched the surface. Best thing I ever did was upgrade to a twin ball bearing turbo (p&p VF48 with increased billet inducer, basically a Blouch twin).
I...
