I used white/grey stripe for positive and and white/blue stripe for negative.
Keep in mind, I am using a 2ohm SVC 12. That is using 1 ohm per channel (factory is rated at 1.3 ohm per channel at 55watts). If you use a 4 ohm sub and bridge the stock amp it will be 2 ohm per channel and actually...
I concur on the clean power. I would much rather have a clean and clear sound than a distorted mess that is loder than everyone else.
I am still running the factory amp bridged to that 2 ohm 12 and it is sounding good. I did add that little fan to the stock amp housing just in case, but thus...
I had a similiar issue with my Subaru. About 30 minutes of continued assinine driving on dirt roads helped bleed the abs unit altogether.
Albeit that isn't really the best solution, but it may assist in diagnosis and help relieve some of your tension.
Not to insult your intelligence, but are your rear calipers mounted correctly? Others have mounted the calipers opposite of the correct manner which places the bleeders on the bottom of the caliper instead of the top.
Most oil additives are basicaly nothing more than an additive package that your oil already has (not everything is "more is better") mixed with a heavier oil base that makes it appear "stickier". The problem is that the additives and cheap base oil product break down with high heat and become...
Can you get in there with a set of needle nose pliers to gently squeeze the metal babrs and simultaneously tap on the center of pin with a heavy punch?
Just trying to add a little pevity since witing inevitably kicks my ass everytime!
Seriously though, I sincerely hope you get to the bottom of this and get those seats working, and post a how to for others.
Hate to break it to you, but the factory brake controller (2013 and up I believe) is integrated into the computer and the factory instrument cluster. Its not as simple as install it and run it. I looked into it for my 2012 Limited. Looks like aftermarket is our only option.
I used a 1/4" ratchet for those hard to reach bolts. The 1/4" impact driver with very little trigger pressure worked for the rest of the bolts.
I laid a big piece of cardboard under the truck when I did it. Hahaha much easier to clean than the driveway.
If there is "a good amount" on the...
I have the entire stock speaker system out of my Expy if you want them. The rear 6x8s are coaxials and the fronts are component seperates. The factory tweeters have the factory "Stone" colored interior grilles.
Hahaha! I can't tell you how many wrenches/ ratchets/etc have earned "frequent flyer miles" across the street into the neighbors yard. She was always kind enough to bring them back over. Hahaha She seemed to get more of a kick out of it than get mad about finding them.
Its been done on trucks in the past, not sure where I saw pics of it. It was a 2 turbo setup. But, i believe they still used an intercooler and had a dedicated small radiator under the back where the spare tire is with a fan on it to keep turbos cool. Should be plenty of room to run the...
I added a drain plug to the front axle housing.
Located the center of the lowest part of the housing, on the back edge there is a beveled are where the rounded are meats with the flat bottom of the casting. Drilled a hole for the 1/8 npt tap, used the evacuating fluid to flush the drill debris...
I replaced with amsoil on both the 2012 Sxpy and the wife's 08 Exploder (4.6 with 6r60) and have had no complaints. There are several OEM Ford filters, some have a longer "snout" on the bottom but both work. I added a drain plug to mine (drilled small hole and threded it with a 1/8 npt tap and...
To be honest, thats a pretty good question. I, as well, am not a huge fan of smelling diesel exhaust and such. A filter may not help a whole lot, but every little bit helps
