    Catch cans anyone?

I have said it a thousand times... ANY engine with a PCV system will benefit from a catch can filter. And to the folks who wonder about the second valve cover, usually that is the clean air intake side, another can would have zero benefit there.

    Catch cans anyone?

In the cold winter months I check and drain mine every 5-600 miles. Mostly condensation like chocolate milk. In the warmer months it is all oil and I check and drain every 1500miles.

    Tow Hook to Shackle Conversion

Tow loops are better. You use a shackle to the strap and it won't fall off. When off roading, you keep the straps preconnected to the loops...better than diving under the mud to hook them up.

    Battery Tender

Nope I get 10+ on vehicle batteries. When I do change out a battery I do so because of age usually 6-7 years then it goes in a piece of equipment for many more years until they are shot, first to go is a dead cell. A good charger will ramp up or down as needed. The one I use has auto temp, 3...

Is it worth it to install a remote starter in the 3rd gen models?

We don't drive any of our vehicles until they are at operating temp. My '04 and '16 have OEM dealer installed remote start. I don't do anything aftermarket if I can help it.

    Cam phasers...replace or lock out?

Start by changing the two cam phaser solenoids. They have tiny screens and passages that are effected by infrequent oil changes or wrong oil viscosity. Takes only minutes to change with the proper Torx screw driver (a socket won't fit) they took most of the noise away and ran better.

    Oil Analysis 2017 3.5 EcoBoost 19K miles

Classic fuel dilution in a turbo engine. It's normal with the higher intake pressures, more boost, more oil dilution with fuel. That is why I change my oil at 3,000 miles and have a catch can. It would be just as bad with a blower. Instead of blowing money on oil analysis change it more often.
