Anybody using a Carquest 85372 filter? Its the blue label.Same as a Napa Gold I'm told.It has a coil spring instead of a leaf spring on the bypass valve on a FL820s.Any thoughts or comments? Thanks.
The Castrol sounds pretty darn good.I called Quaker State on the Defy oil that they have out.And the rep on the phone told me he had a 01 f150 with a 5.4 and ran Rotella 15/40.Rotella has more zinc then most oils from what i'm told.
I use Motorcraft 5-30 semi synthetic. And a motorcraft filter.Bob is the oil guy.com is a good site for oils and other things. There's a few post on adding a additive can have a reverse affect on the additives in the oil.I dont add anything to my oil.If you do,get better oil.I have 144,000 on my...

I was useing the 4awd last night since we got 6-8 inches of snow.I think it works slick.Sometimes on pavement, then slick ice.The 4awd doesn't jerk going around corners. The 4wd drive is like any other 4wd.4awd runs in 2wd untill the tires slip then goes into 4wd and back to 2wd when tires stop...
Always the tire size.Try them on before you have to use them.Tires are like shoes. Some run big or small. We sale a chain called a Pewag. Its Austrian.A forged alloy square link.Awesome stuff. It will outlast the carbon steel off shore stuff by 4 times. But drive pavement kills any chain.
We have gotten up to a little over 100 inches of snow in winter.Normal is 60-70 inches. This will be my first winter with it.It has Michellin X radial LT tires. We will see.
