Anybody using a Carquest 85372 filter? Its the blue label.Same as a Napa Gold I'm told.It has a coil spring instead of a leaf spring on the bypass valve on a FL820s.Any thoughts or comments? Thanks.

Napa Gold are made by WIX. WIX puts their logo on the back of the box, very small for their store branded filters.

My concern is when the filter goes into bypass mode. The spring steel in the dome that keeps pressure on the filter bends and doesn't flex back to normal and the filter stays in bypass mode.I had a customer of mine cut a filter open over the holidays when he got to Montana and the steel spring was bent.He tried to tell me you get one try and thats it.It stays bent after that.Never goes back to normal.Anybody hear of this before.I work at a dealership and can get Baldwin,Fleetguard,Donaldson.Any thoughts?
