I have no direct experience with this brand but most aftermarket CAIs are a waste of money unless you have significant hp mods. a good filter and the Gotts mod are plenty enough for 99% of all expys. they do look nice and sound good also though.
the gotts mod is about as good as it gets for a stock vehicle. you still get the cool air less restriction and protection from water injestion [same as stock]. any mod to the way the air flows through the air filter will have an effect on the MAF readings. I have seen cheap filters cause check...
those codes are for th 2 front o2 sensors. could be water contam in the connectors, vac leak ... ck for vac leaks then ck the connectors from the O2 sensors.
that is the new switch and jumper new style. I still like to run the fused jumper with it, because even though this is a new design there is still a fuse problem with those wires.
the rear heater hose is nearly impossible. ther is a special tool for the clamps that is a remote squeeze grip setup that makes it a little easier. there is also a special tool to release the hoses from the heater core also. just asking but what have you tried so far?
IF your expy came from a lower altitude ti may need to adjust to the altitude[barometric pressure]. you can speed this up by doing several WOTs [wide open throttle] while driving. the computer adjusts the baro only at WOT.
that is the factory recommendation and we have had little problem from it. the new fluids are full synthetic and last much longer without breaking down. ther is nothing wrong with doing it at 30k but I wouldn't do a filter , just take it somewhere where they have aflush machine make sure they...
That job call for about 6 hrs to do it by the book 4.6 for valve covers 1.0 for diag and .4 to install the vct solenoids. at $90 that is $540 labor + 385 ro the solenoids and gaskets. that is real close to what we would charge at the dealer. the solenoids are 135 each.
your trans is only due for a flush at 100,000 miles unless you are doing heavy towing. the new fluid is different and a flush at that mileage is fine with the new fluids. It takes a new type of fluid make sure if you get it flushed they use it because other fluids will ruin the trans.
I believe you just pull the top cover -remove the chrome trim around shifter [pops off] remove coin tray bottm cover remove 1 screw, then pry up the corners of top panel has 4 clips. there are probably 2 big connectors with 10mm bolts to disconnect then remove the upper trim of shifter and...
yes yours has the old switch and has the fused jumper on it. pull the connector off is there brake fluid leaked into the connector? if there is then replace the switch [will be new style with a jumper harness]. try it with the fuse jumper in place if it works then ok it not by pass the fuse...
It could also be your idle air control IAC too. to check it tap it with a hammer while it is idleing slow- if it is stuck many times this will free it temporarily. if that fixes it then start looking for a new IAC and it is usually a good idea to clean the throttle body plate and bore at the...
one quick and easy check is to find the fuel press port [looks like tire valve] on the fuel rail. now depress the little tab in the center tab fuel should gush out, now turn key off and on several times and try again. there should be a lot come out if not pump is probably bad.
I used a small 1/4 drive socket 12 point [7mm I think] and drove it on the broken stud's nub with the manifold still on and it turned right out. installed a new one sealed right up.
I had one broke on my drivers manifold. drove a small 1/4 drive socket 7mm maybe 12point onto what was sticking out and it came right out[210,000 miles] . screwed in a new one and put a nut on worked great noise gone. I may have got lucky but most of the stud come right out.
no I dont but it is on the very front top of master cyl. it screws in and has a 2 wire connector. if it has a flat connector the both sides sqeeze in to release it that is the original style switch. if it is like a rounded sqrare and only one tab must be pushed it is the new style and does not...
