Don't know if you have them up in Canada or not but I get all my tires from Discount Tire. I have had them put TPMS sensors in my vehicles in the past and not had any issues. Don't know what brand they are though.
I had considered trying to modify the bottom grille so as to accept a smaller light bar without the grille holes blocking it. Want to find one on a junker to experiment with before going to town on mine though. I suppose with some skill crafting things the same could be done in the main grille.
I had this issue on an 06 of mine a couple of years ago. Started with the shotgun method and replaced individual spark plugs as they got bad enough to trip the check engine light. They would eventually go bad again. Got tired of this happening every few months so I finally took it to a mechanic...
Wondering if anyone has successfully installed switchback bulbs in the front turn signals on a second gen expy. If so what bulb did you go with and how hard were they to install and get operating correctly?
The sentimental part of my brain says fix what you have. I have 2 06's (one eddie bauer and the other a limited) and I am quite attached to them. However the logical side of my brain says that $1500-$2000 is a decent down payment on a newer or maybe even new expy. But then there is the dreaded...
Personally, I don't much care for the exterior of the 3rd gen. I have a 06 and I love the look of it on the outside. I do like a lot of the changes that they have made to the interior on the 3rd gen though. specifically moving the sifter to the center console. I am an old school manual...
Wow, that picture of the second gen limited popped up on my screen and I thought it was mine. Identical accept for mine has amber lenses on mirrors and black skull caps. Also mine has vent shades on the doors. Other than that I could swear that was my truck.
Now this ought to be one for the history books. Are you just planning on front end and rear end or all the way around? I'm curious if the body panels off a 2017 would even work on a 2005 without some SERIOUS modifications.
Question about Forscan. Is there anything other than the software that has to be had to use it on a vehicle? If so, what is the cost of the soft/hardware necessary?
Also, What kind of things can you do with Forscan once you have it. Have seen a few posts about it but not really sure what it's...
I currently own to 06's. They are my second (Limited 191??? miles) and third (King Ranch 16???? miles). The first was an XLT model. Other than some rust on the rocker panels I haven't had any issues with the two I have now. The King Ranch has the famous tick in the motor but the Limited does...
It seems to me that it would be unlikely that it is the door itself that is the issue. It is common for the shaft on the actuator motors to break as they are made of plastic. I would remove the old motor first and see if that is your issue. If you found the video online then you know as well as...
2006 Limited
So, I have noticed lately that my AC hasn't been feeling as cool as it should on full AC. For the last couple of weeks I have been running it in re-circulation mode and that had helped it keep the truck cooler. However, that hasn't even been working as well the last few days with...
My Altima is an '08 S model. It has the 2.5 4 Cyl. It was available with the same 3.5 as the Maxima but when I got the Altima I was trying to be super frugal with fuel while in college. It averages about 18-20 around town and if I remember correctly it was getting about 27 or 28 on my last long...
If I had to give up my Expys for a GM product I would only do it if I could get my '03 GMC Sierra Extended Cab Step Side Short Bed back. It was an SLT model and had every available option minus the sunroof. That truck was truly bulletproof. The only reason I got rid of it is because I went back...
Sounds to me like you inherited a poorly maintained truck when you bought it. We have owned 3 2006 Expeditions and aside from having to replace all of the coils on the first one have had zero issues with any of them.
That's pretty much what I was thinking. Just thought I would take a shot in the dark and see if anyone had done it successfully.
Probably just save up the money and maybe get the towing mirrors from A1-Auto.
Does anyone know if the mirrors on the third gens are compatible with the second gens or not? The mounting points look almost identical. I am worried more about the wiring for power mirror, turn signals, puddle lamps, heated mirrors and power fold function.
Thanks.
