I'm not sure what you are referring to when you say cable. The connection between the pedal and the throttle body is electronic so no cable unless you are referring to the wires.
Over the last few days I have been back and forth between driving my 06 Limited (which I only use for work) and 06 King Ranch (which I drive any other time) and I have noticed quite a bit of a difference in the throttle pedals. On the King Ranch the pedal is (for lack of a better term) soft and...
I recall having that issue when I did the map and glove box lights. One of them broke and I had a hell of a time getting the rest of it out of the socket.
From what I have been able to find out searching a couple of auto parts websites these are 161 bulbs. The LED equivalent seems to be a T10. I am going do some further investigation tomorrow when a couple of places here open up. I checked TASCA parts and the prices they had were nowhere near what...
Thanks for the information. It is probably going to be a couple of weeks (at least) before I get around to working on the instrument cluster as I just completed a full Exterior LED upgrade.
If you could get some pictures of the process that would be awesome. Thanks. In the mean time, let me do...
Has anyone had this happen?
The right side of the speedometer looks alot dimmer than the rest of the instruments. I have this issue on both my 06 Limited and my 06 King Ranch. Bad bulb?
If it is a bad bulb can it be replaced? Hoping so then I'll just replace all of them with LED's when I tear...
Got the new cruise control disconnect switch installed today. It was the issue. Cruise control works as it should again. Don't know if it was just coincidence that it happend to go bad at the same time that I monkeyed with the pedals or if I damaged it somehow. Either way, the cruise control is...
I have done that as a temporary measure. Kinda want the ability to adjust them as my wife is kinda short and if she needs to drive my truck for some reason..........
I agree with your assessment. I was speculating not knowing what the codes indicated. Lean/rich could be an issue with a faulty fuel injector. Had a cracked one that I wasn't aware of for quite some time. Check engine code came back as a misfire on cylinder 8. Mechanic figured it out for me and...
Although its an expensive proposition to think about, it could be related to one or more bad coil packs.
If you haventh already, I would Google the codes or maybe someone else here can chime in on these codes?
I had rhe ssamissues you are describing on my 06 XLT aboit a year ago. Changed all 8...
I'll give the procedure a shot. Don't know if the solenoid valves are still there or not though. If not, the procedure sounds like it worn't work properly. Have to go out and have a closer look at the truck. I know the air lines are there as I can see them hanging out in space.
Thanks. You guys here have been a big help with troubleshooting issues. Getting close. Got a couple of other odds and ends to take care of to make me completely happy again.
1: Replace adjustable pedal gear with brass gear
2: Replace header panel behind headlights (the tabs for the...
I have heard of it but I farted too expensive to get the software and whatever you got to plug into the truck to make it work. On topOn top of that I think I would be scared to mess with anything cuz I wouldn't know what I was doing
I had considered a newer Expy when I was shopping. I love all of the new featurs but they are so computer ceitical these days and i dont think i would be able to work on a newer one. I like to do alot of my own monkey wrenching whenever possible. Shop rates tjese tays are out of this world...
I am hoping that the new disconnect switch solves the issue. If things go back to the way they were i think my next step will be the other switch.
I could be wrong but i don't think its a software issue. My line of thinking is that if were a software issue it wouldn't work jumpered either.
I...
I was referring to the diagnostic procedure.
Diagnosed my issue today. It was a bad cruise control disconnect switch on the brake pedal. Got it jerry rigged while I wait for a new one from Rock Auto.
