Since I don’t have the HD tow, I’m still conscious of what I’m pulling with my Exp. I’ve got an XLT, 3.31, short WB, sumo springs, Blue OX WDH.
Plenty of power, handling is great, trans temp never an issue even during August pilling on a long trip through the Smoky Mts.
It does great, but I...
X2 as I did. Go with Ford Oem. Make you u do the Forscan to go with it so you have all options and settings available to you in the cluster.
My TT weighs 5820. No issues at all. Wouldn’t go more, but tows like a dream
I’ll chime in too. You’ll be absolutely fine. Add a FORD brake controller and forscan upgrade $250 total and your set. If buying from the dealer work that into the sale.
I tow my TT 5700# no issues at at, trans temp, power, etc. tossed on on sumo springs and it’s perfect.
Not sure how to wrap the GEM, but those 1St Gens are known to have a leaky windshield. I definitely get that fixed first. Had the same issue years ago with my 01. Every time it rained the door locks stopped working and the horn started honking no reason. Finally fixed the issue with windshield...
I did and they flashed very fast. You need a resister. I didn’t fuss with it and put the pens back in. Will likely do something with it later
Just bought red Alla 3156 leds
I’d be upset too.. shotty work. However things happen. I’d speak to the service manager in a reasonable manor and get it fixed correctly by another mechanic.
OMG! I found the problem. Went to the grocery Sunday....Today, just now went looking for some frozen burgers to grill just now and low and behold.... I’m an idiot
I didn’t see them behind the second row captains chair....they were sealed but still pretty nasty
Hey folks, past couple of days it seems like the inside has a strange rotten egg like smell (sulfur)
New 2020, 1300 miles. Just had an oil change the other day and noticed it after that.
Could it be a bad exhaust cat? Bad tank of gas.
Truck runs fine, just kinda scratching my head hear.
Yes, I can’t say anything for 4th gen Expeditions, but windshield water leaks are a known problem for 1st and 2nd gen.
I had it happen on my new 2000 20 yrs ago.
The dealer does usually use a 3rd party repair company like “Water Doctor”
after my fix and a new gem module as it was the drivers...
Agree with all, additionally it’s nice you are able to work with the dealer close to you. If they don’t have the exact Expedition you want they can do a trade. They do it all day long.
As for your used car. If your up to it and willing, I’d sell it out right. Run it in Kelley Blue Book and...
I don’t have experience with a cam phaser issue on the Expedition, however I had the issue in my past vehicle (10’ V8 Explorer) before I got rid of it in June and bought a 2020 Expedition.
I had the dealer do the repair and it was finished in 3 days. It involves tearing down the top of the...
