With the oncoming snowstorm, put the expedition in the garage for the first time tonight. When I redid it a couple years ago I made sure it would fit the bigger vehicles I own. At that point I would have never imagined an expedition would have been on that list, but I’m glad I planned big...
this is what I ordered. Still needed to dremel out the backs of the center caps to gain another 1/8 inch or so.

beware the spacers are not hubcentric and because the are about the same thickness as the...
Was actually thinking about doing bronze too, but the wife drives this car most of the time, and that was a little too edgy for her.
Have spacers on order to deal with the center caps. Also, I am not running TPMS sensors with this setup so I disabled it via FORSCan
I'm one of those people who much prefers a dedicated winter wheel/tire setup (as opposed to switching tires twice a year on a single set of wheels). Especially given I have the 22's.
I ended up picking up a set of take-off F150 17's and a very low mileage set of 265/70 Yokohama Iceguard i51v's...
Thanks guys, i looked into the F150 boards and it seems to be much the same sentiment. I'm coming from a a long line of Audis so I'm used to not having to think (and/or know) when various wheels are doing their thing. I do have an older F350 but you'd struggle to hear if the driveshaft fell off...
IF it were hub noise, wouldn't it be present at all times in 4A? Is the front driveshaft always spinning in 4a or only when the clutches send power to the front (ie when I get the whirring).
Had the stereo and hvac off today and noticed a definite whirring noise when 4A was engaged. Putting it in 2a under throttle and the noise would disappear. You could also watch the power distribution screen and whenever power was going to the front the noise would be present, noise would go away...
I think you will be disappointed if you are looking for HUGE end of year sales. I don't believe the 2018's are sitting on dealer lots long enough for there to be any kind of over-supply. If dealers can't keep them on the lot there won't be situations where the 2019's are sitting next to leftover...
Only way for someone to impact these in a crash is if they are unbelted or the seat fails. At that point you are screwed whether or not there is a screen in front of you.
If you are after DVD players, check out the ones I installed, they were just over 200 bucks and have been happy with them so far. They also have HDMI/SD Card inputs.

unit came with spring loaded mounts that fit between the headrest posts.

*just realized you asked for a Navigator. Not sure how that would work with the integrated headrests.
Audi gave me a slingbox a couple years ago which I generally use to watch live tv in the garage without a separate cable drop, but when paired with a fire stick and a mobile hotspot it also works great to watch live tv in the car.
Installed an eonon c1100 setup yesterday. ~200 bucks off amazon. Happy with it so far. Both units have DVD players so they can play different movies or they can be slaved to each other. Fm tuners are built in. I ran the wiring inside the seat backs and into the center console where I tapped into...
Have you considered a dedicated wheel/tire setup? You can get a 17” setup with steel wheels for less then just a set of 22” blizzaks (tire rack). There are obviously many more tire and wheel options in the smaller wheel sizes (17,18, even 20). Normally you need to factor in the cost of 2x/year...
Had these available to me so thought I would share in case they benefit anyone else. If you have any to add please do.
