I agree with Explorer Tom. Change all the fluids. Also check the radiator core support. They are known to rust and the fan will hit the radiator. PIA to change. Anyone have another way to repair these without pulling the whole front end off?

I wonder if the 3.5 Eco is going to hold up as well as the 5.4. There are less cubic inches producing more power and torque. I would think it also causes more wear and tear. Any other opinions?

Inflating the tires to max. can help but I believe that most boat trailer sway is caused by not enough tongue weight. You should have near 10% of the towed weight on the tongue.
The mileage should change between city and highway driving. The indicator may not be working right. I get as low as 10 in the city and as high as 17 on the highway on a 03 EB 5.4. Fill the tank and record the mileage. Then take a highway trip refill and check again. It should be better than 13.
