Yes but in the context of this thread about Expy’s and f150’s is what my comments were aimed at. I know the f350 can be had w 7.3 gas.
In terms of the 6.8 in a mustang, we’ll see but anything definite in this thread about that is speculation mate.
7.3 comes in all trims not just fleet and is only in the f250.
Ecoboost will eventually be replaced on full size trucks and go into crossovers exclusively.
The 6.8 will be offered in the f150 only.
Pushrod engines are back at Ford for a reason. Ecoboost is not the future on Ford trucks.
An Expy modded up for off roading is close to talking about a minivan being modded for off road.
There are far too many better options in the suv crowd for customizing for off trail /trail / overland use.
This is why you find such a limited aftermarket for Expy’s of that vintage.

^^ This is why I haven’t pulled the trigger on my next truck.
I don’t believe in the ecoboost motors in trucks and the 5.0 was moved over from ‘stangs due to the v8 crowd noise from f150 faithful.
Much debate in these forums about the ecoboost in trucks. Some buyers caved because they felt it...
Keep or flip? I’ve been battling this question for almost 6 mos and the thing I keep coming back to is ... replace it w what? What can be purchased at a reasonable cost knowing it’s probably out of warranty and that will be as good as these trucks?
Whatever you buy will be taking a chance. So...

No, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn once.
That plus I wrench on my 1972 mercruiser, 1977 Harley, and a trusty Toro lawnmower. So I’ve learned that if you service, maintain, clean and take care of your equipment it’ll take care of you.
Yup, my fuel pump started to go...slowly...thankfully...I could tell it was taking longer cycles to start when I turned the key and I suspected it was the pump....it did last 21 years and 215,xxx miles so I don't mind. I guess using non ethanol helped.
I’ve got 216,xxx and my truck is 90% long highway driving at 75-80mph.
I’ve never let it go so I’ve never had a “list” of to-do’s but at this mileage there’s always the next thing whether tires, brakes, or a worn suspension part(s).
I’m on my second install of Monroe coil over kit. It gives a...

Im looking into diesel. I don’t want to buy something I need to replace in a few years. I like to buy and keep 10+ years minimum.
Diesel seems to be efficient on the highway and they look like they retain value well.
My ole gal has been great but she’s not worth much monetarily.
It’s all a mental merry-go-round.
This is just such a good truck.
Yeah, there’s rust underneath on the frame and body/floors and under the running boards.
Damn salt from Chicago.
I’ve decided to keep running her for work till summer then decide what to do.
They just don’t make ‘em like...
