    This is a fallacy. First, the flush removes any debris and secondly the flush removes all the old fluid where a drain and fill leaves several quarts of the dirty fluid in the tranny. My 2000 has 200k and I flush it at the dealer every other year. Smooth as silk.

    Sales of homes were extremely healthy a decade ago and we all know how that ended...bailout of wall street banks. Today car payment delinquency is still high which indicates to me people are purchasing vehicles they can’t afford w easy credit... just like the housing market before it crashed.

    I love oil threads. For all you Motorcraft users....Kendall 1 motor oil is made by ConocoPhilips...the same company that makes Motorcraft oil. Kendall motor oil has a far better additive package than Motorcraft and its a lot cheaper. Just sayin.

    Lots of good folks get saddled w a huge monthly payment under the guise and rationale of warranty vs paying for repairs, and ego of course. Od rather put that money towards my 401K.

    Yeah, I’ve been to Frisco and it’s Africa hot in the summer. I got a sunburn walking to my rental car from DFW to the terminal. Florida next year will be home again. At least I’ll be minutes from the beach.

    Yup. Your spreadsheet calculation is spot on. I’ve seen the same analysis for diesel vs gas. Cost of gas or the savings thereof never equates to financial justification.

    It’s great to see how well informed our group is. Couldn’t agree more w both posts above. Question is what can we the public do? I pay $3.65/g for rec 90 here in northern Illinois and it takes an hour out of my day. E15 is coming.

    Knowing when to say when on these ole gals is tough. I just did fuel pump, fuel filter, spark plugs and boots. Did my normal trip Illinois to Florida and back approximately 2000 miles and got a P0442 code which is EVAP leak. Pissed me off. So happens fuel vent rubber hose was disintegrated...

    Agreed. I guess my issue is that since I enjoy my whiskey, bourbon and scotch... and I have no holes in my stomach, and knowing the power of Big Oil and their lobbyists, then reading the MSDS of e10 gas and seeing HIGHLY carcinogenic chemicals ie BTEX, I lean towards believing ethanol is not...
