I brought projector light for my vette, install them and couldn't see more 30 feet in front of the car at night on low beam, thank goodness I had foglights to help get me home and I change them out, no more aftermarket projector for me. Went ahead and install Hella with 6000k HID in them.
Halo light alway hook into your parking light, so when you run your parking light the halo are on, that way they are on in all position except the off position. Hope this help.
I have both the headlights and the fogs at 6000k and I think they look the best on our expy. The 4300k are yellow like the original, the 6000k lights up more than enough and the view from inside is amazing. It's something to enjoy.
Well we're back. Sorry about the focus, some more submenu. Oh I forgot, you have to remove the two guide tabs on the side of the nav unit (they are for the newer model to align the radio) in order to get it to fit right. I use a Dremel tool to take of it.
In the Setting mode where you...
Here are some more pictures. The GPS has now pinpointed my location. These are some of the different submenus. So far everything is working fine, I guess I'll run into some problems sooner or later. This installation is being done in 98 -100+ degrees of heat here in Georgia, drinking a lot...
Well let's fire her up and see what happen. Houston, we have liftoff. What a beautiful sight, it works. She's booting up, accept the disclaimer and we have navigation. Check out the local radio station ID, the artist name and the name of the song plus it cool looking. Will upload some more...
:)The back of the radio up close, now to start plugging in all of the plugs in their specific location. The one plug that doesn't have anything plug in is for the subwoofer which I found on ebay for 80.00 out of an 05 EB. I'm in the process of making my own wire harness for it because it not...
This what my radio look like from the back as I pulled it out with the original plugs in place. I unplug everything connected to the radio, then I add the new antenna adaptor to the old motorola antenna plug. Lots of room to mount the GPS antenna but I decide to put it over the top of the...
Is the subwoofer original for the expedition or is it aftermarket also. I just install an original subwoofer in my 03 expy XLT along with an OEM Navigation radio and both are working.
I think some eddie bauer had captain seats so there won't be a middle seat because it was design like that with a walk-through aisle to the 3rd row of seats. Sometime the windows button get dirt or lint trapped in the switch, just pop the panel up and check it out it just be working
:)Let the games began. First disconnect the battery negative post before you start the install. This is my dash before I started. Lower the steering wheel to it lowest setting, then lower the turn signal lever like you are making a left turn and leave it, now with parking brake engage, turn...
This is what I needed to get started. Radio/Nav unit, GPS antenna and the antenna adapter. Gps antenna was purchased from a local Ford dealer for $57.00 and the antenna adapter from Best Buy for $15.00. Front and back of unit. The plugs on the back of my old radio and the plugs for the...
The phone button is a mute button and yes it does work when a bluetooth car kit is added or when the factory "mobileease" is added. I have it installed in my system, I install it with the factory wire harness you get from the dealer so you don't have to cut your wires.
I will start sometime this week trying to install a 06 oem navigation system in my 03 expy. The radio will be delivered by UPS tomorrow and I have already got the antenna adapter it costed $16.00, the oem radio and my radio plugs are the same. I think I will have problems with vss wire but I...
If you had and aftermarket dvd player installed, either they forgot to secure the wiring in the headliner that runs to the fm modulater by the radio or the velco hooks have came a loose that holds the wire to keep it from rattlin.
Yes I purchase and overhead DVD player for my 03, It came with 2 wireless headphones and an FM Modulater so you can listen to radio or a cd while the rear passengers can watch dvds. I wish I had purchase an additional set of headphone just in case I had more than 2 passengers.
You can install the overhead entertainment center yourself, its take about 4 hours. The kit I got is from Ford with the "The Ford Motor Company" logo on it, it come with detail instruction on how to install it along with pictures. The front bracket screws into a plastic subframe under the roof...
