I have noticed a ticking noise with my 2001 Expedition XLT. It is most noticable in the front passenger side fender area just standing beside the truck. The truck runs & drives fine and oil levels are also good as well as no engine lights. When I got under the truck it almost seems like it is...
I've only had my Expedition since last fall and one of the first things I did was change the fuel filter so that should be ok. I do want to try the Seafoam thing your talking about so go ahead and send me the instructions on how to do this. I thought I read somewhere on here that you leave the...
Well I had the catalytic converter and fuel pressure checked today and both came back fine. I went ahead and had them clean the fuel system and it did seem to help but I haven't driven it much since they did it. I will keep you all posted !
That does make sense.....the less fuel in the tank and it won't dilute the cleaner as much. I could run it down and put the cleaner in it then let the fuel pump run but don't start the engine right? Let it sit awhile then fill it up. I have always had good luck with Seafoam but I can use the...
Both places run about 100 bucks to do it and it takes about an hour to do. The stuff they have is stronger than SeaFoam too but I was figuring if I filled it up and ran 2 cans through it that would maybe take care of it. They also suggested to check the fuel pressure and the catalytic converter...
My 2001 XLT seems to have some hesitation while I'm driving it.....it feels like it wants to go but can't when you are accelerating. I don't have any check engine lights or anything else to indicate a problem either. I thought about running a couple of cans of Seafoam throught it with a full...
Would there be any benefit by just taking off the piece that goes into the fender? Air would still get in.....just from the engine area and the opening to the filter would be bigger. Just kind of wondering about this.
Mine is also a 4WD....and I was told the same thing that there is a difference between 2WD and 4WD as far as mounting these. The tow hooks also come into play on this too (which I also have).
Thats the type of push bar I want for my 2001 XLT.......where did you get it or are you letting that one go? That one doesn't cover the headlights does it? I don't want the headlights covered.
I found another seller on Ebay that sells it in a kit that you have to build but their feedback isn't the greatest. I was hoping to find one already put together thats why I figured there might be a place outside of Ebay.
That model is for a 2 wheel drive only and they don't have one for the 4 wheel drive models that I need. I was using the picture as an example of what I am looking for. Any help would be appreciated!
Does anyone know of a good place to get one of these push bars at? I want one like in this link for my 2001 Expedition. I contacted this seller about the ones they have but it will not work for a 4 wheel drive Expedition and thats what I need. Any help would be appreciated.--Thanks!
Here is...
Anyone know if there is a way to calibrate the temperature on the overhead console? Mine is a little off....the direction is fine but the temp acts goofy sometimes. Any help would be appreciated!
I wanted to check with everyone and see which spark plugs are the best ones to use in my 01 XLT 5.4? I figured sticking with Motorcraft would be best but what experience has everyone had with the different brands. Any input would be great! Thanks!
