17 white twist locks on flex covering underneath front end

I don't know about those ones in particular, but I've bought most of my clips and fasteners from https://www.clipsandfasteners.com/

    Winch issues

Replace the factory positive terminal with a marine style multi-post terminal. This one below is cheap, there are a bunch of other options out there, too. It's pretty easy, though I would use solder lugs over the crimp on style this one includes. https://a.co/c6UYHWF

Coil pack & spark plug suggestions

I used cheap Amazon coils, they worked great for about 30,000 miles, then one developed a miss. Not sure what exactly caused it, but whatever. I swapped them all over to Motorcraft. I've got ~60,000 on the Motorcraft coils in my wife's Mariner, haven't had any issues with those, and that...

    Gas cap

At one point somebody (probably Stant) made a retrofit from the cap to capless adapter. My Expedition is the only car I've got left that has an actual cap, I've been longing to just stick it in and get on with the pumping without any fiddling around beforehand, but I can't find it anymore!

    Rocker panel repair

You know what, that might be a great idea! Looking at this bracket, and how shakey this step is, you might be right and that'll save me a ton of cash that I don't want to spend on an old rust bucket.

    Rocker panel repair

I honestly wouldn't care, except that driver's side step is starting to flex pretty harsh at the rear mount. With two kids, I don't need it letting go with one of them on it.

    Rocker panel repair

I was thinking this was probably beyond my skill level, and after looking at these replacements and the damage, I'm sure it is. Time to call some body shops!

Two-way Radio Antenna Mount & Cable Routing

If you don't need to use a glass mount antenna, don't. They work, but not as good as something hard wired. Cell antennas are easy, if you were mounting a ham radio I would recommend a FlexiWhip, those things are amazing. I go through parking garages with mine and hear it smack into the beams all...

Let's play... guess the repair bill total!

That's not too bad for what it is! My reman engine was ~$8500 out the door. The insurance company always wins somehow.

    Positive Battery Pole Corrosion

I go through hundreds of batteries at work (electric lifts) and we started using red electrical varnish on the terminals. It's almost completely eliminated corrosion on the terminals.

What’s my Expedition, with a new engine worth?

I put an engine in mine because I had a ton into building custom storage containers into the truck, radios and antenna installations, lighting, and generally working on stuff that I didn't want to do in another vehicle. And being old anyway I'm not worried about a little body damage that might...

Troubleshooting dash lights dimming and interior lights blinking

I hate to dig up an old thread, but have you ever figured out what was going on? I've got 4.5v out of the connector on the GEM going to the lights, but the full 12.4 when the dimmer switch is all the way up.

    Issues getting refrigerant to charge

Are you using the new self-sealing cans? Those suck, sometimes you have to back off the valve on them a bit to get them to work. See if you can find a buddy with a keg, those tend to work better with most gauge sets. Your system should hold vacuum for hours. Come back and check it now that it's...

2012 mirror glass in an 08?

If you're thinking about the tow mirrors, it's only $300 and your time and whatever else you break in the process. May as well do it!

2012 mirror glass in an 08?

That's a pretty sweet way to handle it if that works! It looks like it's the same. I just did the stick-on grandpa mirrors, but it's not as nice looking as this would be.

    '07 Check engine light

I had a miss like that, did all the same stuff, turned out the connector on the injector had broken during the engine swap and worked its way loose.

    Air Filter

I run WIX filters, but I also buy more WIX filters than anybody in the state so I get a hell of a deal. The joys of heavy equipment.

    CB Mount

I have a ham radio in mine, it's mounted with industrial Velcro to the passenger side of the center console, with the head mounted to the dash. It made for running the cables really easy, I've got a K40 mounted to the back, ran the cable through the boot for the rear hatch, under the headliner...

    What the heck is this?

Those are definitely SMA connectors for GPS or satellite radio. Was this a fleet vehicle before you got it? That would explain it. Or a sketch buy here pay here dealer, I've seen immobilizers use stuff like that.

Intake Manifold Removed....Now What? (2014 EL)

OMFG Dude... one thread you're all "replace them all with OEM", this one you're like "WTF is wrong with you?" Just ignore anything 07navi says, it's just enough troll to piss off anybody who bothers to listen.

    Limited with Rough Ride

Holy cow! For that price just get the Quick Strut. I once watched a guy change all four of his in the parking lot at Advance in under an hour using borrowed tools and his car's jack. GM products, how could you go wrong?

    Defroster cable detached

When I was working at the Cadillac dealer, the procedure for fixing those was easy. Emory cloth to clean both surfaces, lots of flux, and silver solder to reattach. That Frost Fighter kit looks a lot easier than trying to flow solder on a window, to be honest.

Purchased a firestation expedition, did I get a good deal?

I don't know if the SSVs have the mount points for the seats. I took my third row out to make room for a cargo storage area I built (I have a thread here somewhere) and the bolt holes go all the way through if I'm remembering correctly. Really easy to take in and out, though.

    Annual Oil Change

200 hours? Lucky, I only get 160! Finding anything good in Indiana is hard, so I guess they have to give you some incentive to stay! :D

    Annual Oil Change

I'll have to see what we put on the wife's Escape, but it can't be too much more. If I didn't carry so much crap around with me all the time, we could probably get by with one car and finally get myself a motorcycle.
