Antenna placement was easy, just make sure you go the difference between inside and outside measurements... I was 1/4 inch off and nipped the crossbar inside the roof. The radio head is mounted to a stick on mount for a satellite radio on the dash, and the satellite radio is mounted to a...
It's a 2010 Mariner. She can't stand the new style, and I'm not a fan of the Focus platform. She's looking at the Explorer to replace hers when it finally craps out, but these things just seem to keep going.
They retail for a ton! I do search and rescue, we work closely with the sheriff's department and they have their trucks crammed full. I was looking for one of these when I bought mine, but I'd hate to take it out every time I wanted to carry people in the third row. I ended up with a 55 gallon...
I used that exact same assembly on my 3rd brake light! I just wish it was the same as the Escape assembly, it's twice as much for my wife's car to convert to LED.
My 2007 5.4 I can milk just over 21 out of it on a 100 mile drive, but in the city I get between 12-14, depending on how many times I get angry on my commute. The Lucas in the fuel sure makes a difference in my head, but not really a lot in the real world.
Do what I always do to mine and break it off on something while driving. Then you have an excuse to say "screw you stupid piece of plastic" and throw it away.

I followed some guides on replacing them, took my Dremel and cut the black plastic back all the way to the clear lens all the way around, they popped apart no problems. Put the LED in, checked polarity on the truck, and siliconed them back together. Works great, a ton brighter than the...
Just Google "android auto head units". There are a ton of them out there from name brands. This unit is pretty decent for the price. Most of the nicer units run $400 and up.
I finally got mine up into the dunes at Silver Lake last weekend. That's my buddy sitting on the roof with the antennas. She's a comfy ride in the sand!
Usually comes with a bottle in the kit, and yeah, same stuff, depending on the brand you buy. My first clay bar lasted years, so as long as they aren't caked in gunk, you'll be fine.
When I was at the Cadillac dealer we dealt with the stupid clad rims all the time, we just used the regular car...
I use Meguires myself, and buy extra spray detailer, because you want to use a lot. It's the safest way to really remove all of the paint without damaging the coating. I know the video doesn't cover rims, but the technique is the same.

Lol "third row brake"... Center high mount stop light. Two screws, super easy to remove, check the connections, put it back together.

Ha! Yeah, it's seriously the easiest website to find parts on. Just type in the year make model and it'll take you right to the parts for your car. You really don't need an ASE certified parts specialist to do it for you anymore. It's why I sell construction equipment parts now.

I picked up a whole kit with receiver dryer, expansion valves, and orings on Rock Auto for just over $200, same brand as my local Auto Value. I've got a guy who will do the install for me, since I don't have access to any AC tools. I'm curious how much work it is myself, because if I can pay...
I've got a TYT TH-9800, and the head is mounted on a satellite radio mount stuck on the dash, while the radio itself is up underneath the dash. There's a TON of unused space back behind everything on the 2007, the '12 shouldn't be much different.
It's about 40 miles from the lakeshore to the...
My cb antenna, a K40, is mounted on the rear hatch, the ham antenna is a really nice Comet 2x4 folder, and that's mounted on the roof. I'll have to get some pictures, but that roof mounted antenna can cause problems when backing into the garage with it up... Thankfully the mount broke before it...
It looks like a Flex that's been scaled up, but not well. I'd rather have the Flex for the people mover aspect, and an Explorer if I didn't need all the cargo space.
