Check to make sure it isn't something simple like the blower motor resistor first. I had a Trailblazer that went through 4 of those. They took about 10 minutes to replace and cost about $18. Hole lot cheaper than throwing money at a whole blower motor.
With mine, the symptoms were usually...
Thanks for the advice. I've never been let down with a tool from Harbor Freight and I plan on picking up their 3 ton model for $79 once it gets off backorder.

I've been looking around and I think I've decided on a 3 ton. It should be enough right? I don't plan on jacking the whole truck up at one time so how much jack do I really need to raise one wheel at a time?
I appreciate any feedback. I don't know much about floor jacks but I know that the...
Noblesville Indiana. Just a short drive (20 minutes) North of Indianapolis. Home of random blizzards, 4" ice storms, 95 degree humidity and 200 pound midwestern women. Not sure why I'm still here after all these years. :bawl:
No plans yet. I might do some stuff in the Spring. For now, I just want to fix the little issues and get through Winter.
I traded an old 98 Toyota Camry with tons of miles and $99 for the Expedition.
Thanks for all the info. I'll crawl under it this weekend and check those sensors.
Well, I've had a little time to drive the Expedition and come up with a to do list. If anyone has any time saving tips or knows where to save a few dollars I'd appreciate the help.
*AWD/4HI/4LO lights do not work on the dash and I'm really doubting the system works at all. Turning the wheel...
Normally, driving around will "burp" the system. In extreme cases, you can put the front wheels on ramps or park facing up a steep incline. Opinions vary but I would remove the resevoir cap, start the truck and run it up to operating temperature then turn the heat up to HOT. Give it a little...
What were the symptoms when you replaced it last year? Was it not heating up? I've seen them be bad right out of the box so for one to fail in a year wouldn't be impossible. Make sure you aren't getting an Autozone or Pep Boy model. I've heard of more than one of those being mismarked, non...
Sorry to drag this back up but I thought it might be better than starting a new thread.
I noticed while at lunch my Expedition would give 2 or 3 good solid "clunks" at take off and 1 or 2 when it shifted into second. It doesn't make any noise if I take off slowly or at high speed. I can...
Just picked up a 99 Expedition for the winter. Nothing radical planned in the immediate future but I'm sure there will be a few "must haves" after reading through all the topics.
My daily driver is a Mercedes S500 and I have a Foxbody Mustang Convertible in 1000 pieces right now. I went...
