    Slipping Trans need help

    Thanks me too. It was parked for 41 days before i tried to drive it to the shop yesterday. It was a 50 mile trip and i came up 3miles short. It finally gave out when i got off the interstate. So they had to come pick it up on the flat bed the rest of the way.

    Ok well im taking my truck to the shop today. The E4OD will not bolt up directly to my 4.6. So i am getting a new to me 4R70W tranny. I am still getting it for $900 installed and ready to go. So i should get it back by the end of next week and will update on how it turns out.

    It all depends on if you want A/T's or M/T's. You can get the nittos on 4wheelparts.com for $1366. So you are only saving 66 bucks. As for the size it is only a half inch taller and wider so that shouldnt be an issue.

    gas tank size in 2008 EL

    There are two tank sizes for the 1st gen expy. The 2wd has a 28gal. tank, and the 4X4 has a 30gal. tank. The most ive ever put in mine was 29.76gal. i was sputtering before i got to the gas station.

    The main trimming i did for mine was on the plastic valence under the chrome bumper. The only other trimming was the bottom plastic in the wheel well. No cutting of metal was needed. Im sure thermo and nuts will add in and share what they had to do.
