    Catalytic Converter Help

Why not do as I mentioned earlier, and that being beat the inside of the cat out of it and use the cat by putting it on hollow. Les work and time involved. Just an idea for you to make things simpler.

    Anyone seen this expedition before?

It is not the too pretty thing I was refering to, it is the stock axle setup with that big of a lift and tire combo. It just begs for breakage, if you build it and put that kind of money into something, then do it right, and use larger axles to handle the increased tire size and load. That...

    Advice or 2nd opinions needed

This thread is dead. The OP has started another thread with the one he bought already instead of continuing this one.

    Anyone seen this expedition before?

No I can't say I have. But, those tall tires and that large of a tire, I would have to say that it is a street queen and nothing more. That stock frontend has to be taking a beating, and all I can imagine is one time off-road and no go no mo. Other than that, yes it is nice looking.

the fix for the odometer I to had done and it fixed it for sure. The ABS light is probably from the ABS sensor that needs to be cleaned or replaced, or you have a bad connection to it.

    Homemade rear bumper

why do you not cap off the ends to smooth it out and stop any elements from getting in and causing rust.. Also, I would of notched the bumper mounting points to bring the bumper inward more so that it would not be sitting outward so much. Just an idea.

Found the one and bought it!

Just open a free account with photobucket.com. The you can add as many pics and 800x600 size pics all night long, do not use the attachment link ()to add them, just use the insert image link (). And there is no limit to how many pics you want to use.

Need some suggestions to increase fuel economy

Jay, there is alot of small things you can do to improve mileage without being told to buy this and that and fork over a pretty amount of money. 1) New plugs (Motorcraft Platinum) and wires. 2) Fuel Filter 3) Fuel treatment (SeaFoam) or injector cleaner at your next fill up. 4) Tire Pressures...

    So aftrr

I would assume so as that is the only allocated fuse to the two. No other fuse is recognized for either one.

    So aftrr

The fuse location is #3, this fuse shares responsibility with the cig lighter and OBDII connector.

    2001 Expedition spark plugs

I use nothing but Motorcraft plugs. Best plug for our application, I have wanted to try out the E3 plugs, but I can not see paying that kind of money for a experimental plug.

    Bad sound from engine

Did I miss something here, has the problem been identified? I ask that as to how you got a estimate without knowing what the problem is. And someone looking at it first to give a proper estimate.

Any one think about PlastiDipping Yer Hood?

Well that is a well done video. My concern would be if it comes off that easily around the chrome trim. How is it on the chrome, if you bump into it, or bug matter gets on it or if you wash the vehicle, what keeps it from rolling or peeling off the trim pieces?

    Bad sound from engine

You will have to repair it with a HeliCoil kit or TimeSerts, they are threaded inserts/sleeves that you use to replace what was once there. They are actually stronger than oem threads.

Any one think about PlastiDipping Yer Hood?

yes sir, make sure you get the temps up or a heat gun as the moldings will curl on you being cold, and they are a ******************** to get off cold. Heat gun does great witout damage. On Ebay, they sell the chrome strip inserts. I had a next door neighbor do that once and just pulled them off...

    2001 Expedition spark plugs

This is not wise info to give to others as it is unnecessary to change out plugs that rapidly. Changing out plugs that rapid will increase the risk of a possible plug stripping or something else going wrong. Not to mention that it can be costly constantly changing out plugs like that. Anytime...

    No Heat

HVAC is your dash heat and air controller, and the one on the center roof display. It may have a vacuum leak or a bad controller itself. You can pull it out of the dash and inspect the 3 or 4 hoses going into it, and or go to the local JY and get another one for like 5 bucks. Swap them out and...

    Bad sound from engine

Not to drag this out on you, but I just replaced all 8 plugs last month. It took all of 25-30 minutes with my fat fingers. The hardest area to gain access is the P/S rear 2 cylinders as you have the heater core hoses in the way and have to move them to the side to gain access. The D/S is the...

    No Heat

I would not think it is the pump as it is hot to the touch at low fan speed. I would be looking at my HVAC control box. If you have hot to the touch but switch to hi flo and it gets cold, you may have a bad HVAC controller. In most cases it is in reverse of what you are experiencing. When hi fan...

    Bad sound from engine

The spark plug boots are not difficult to get to to inspect if a plug has blown out. Just reach down and pull on them one at a time. Sounds to me it is on the driverside and that is the easiest side to gain access. If one did blow out, the plug wire may indeed be shot out of its port and you...
