    Sounds to me that they gave you a Pre-97 pump as the 96 and earlier had the pitman arm facing forward.

    Do those programmers allow you to update tire size with gear ratio along with fuel, air, spark and timing? I do not want it if I can not program the speedo and trans shift points due to larger tires and gears.

    I would stick with the coils as I stated earlier. Or you have some wires misrouted after you installed the new plugs. And to answer your question concerning the spark plug location relative to the coils.
