First thing I would look at is the condition of your tires and have the wheel alignment checked. Try rotating the tires and see if the condition is the same.
If the truck is stock height with stock tires and the front end is tight and in good condition, swaybar bushings and shocks will...
Before you make your decision consider some facts about rotors.
Slotted rotors, prone to cracking, will increase your stopping power but are mainly for looks. Quicker pad wear is also another consideration with slotted rotors.
Cross-drilled rotors are prone to cracking and possible breaking...
The extender/antifouler has the same threads as your O2 sensor and goes in between the sensor and the pipe.
You unscrew the O2 sensor, screw in the extender then screw the O2 sensor into the extender.
I had to do the ones on my V6 Passat because of an oversensitive computer.
The motor was out...
The front O2 sensor sets the mixture and the rear O2 sensor checks the cat efficiency.
If an injector failed and was replaced but it's not throwing a rich/lean code and just the P0420 then it points to the rear O2 sensor or cat.
With a bad injector you could have coated the cat to the point...
I have a Gen1 Expy with a solid rear axle but like any vehicle with CV joints, if you have vibration with throttle applied the joints are the first area of suspect.
To further diagnose it I would try the same speeds in a different gear to eliminate the motor and transmission from the mix.
If the code comes back then you need to address the problem.
The P0420 code comes from the rear O2 sensor on Bank side 1.
This could be a bad sensor or the cat coming to the end of it's life.
Depending on your smog readouts and the restrictions in your state it may even be fixed by installing...
True deep cycle batteries have fewer heavy plates with lots of lead on them and have a better ability to be cycled deeply and recharged without affecting their lifespan. Starting batteries have lots of thin plates that will give a great burst of power but do not recover well from deep...
I agree that Optimas were a very good battery but things have changed. About 3 years ago Optima was sold to Johnson Controls which is why Sam's carry them. When they were purchased by Johnson Controls, the manufacturing was moved to Mexico and they have gone downhill ever since.
There are...
Nice truck!
Those are the same 16" wheels I had on my 2000 XLT 2WD when I got it.
I was under the impression that only the 2WD got the 16" wheels and the 4WD got the 17" wheels or maybe that was the EB version that got 17's.
If you want good batteries for an inverter buy some decent 6v or 12v golf cart or floor scrubber lead acid deep cycle batteries and forget the Optimas. The Optima quality has gone downhill in recent years and the returns for failure are high. Neither the Red Top, Yellow Top or Blue Top are true...
A word of warning, PDs don't like blue lights in the grille or on the tailgate and it would be one more reason to get stopped.
If you want one they are made by Reese, available at AutoZone: http://www.autozone.com/autozone/accessories/Reese-Ford-lighted-emblem?itemIdentifier=156471

Measured the truck today, here's the results: Click on photo to enlarge.
Passenger seat in the middle of the F/B adjustment.
If you can't read the numbers on the photos, they are:
Seat up 48" and 41"
Seat down 84", 87" and 81"
Hope this helps.
I'll measure more closely tomorrow for you and post a photo with all the dimensions on it. It's going to be very tight.
I know Moosomin well (my Mom came from Indian Head) and the vehicle selection is not too good there. You may want to try Regina and Winnipeg for a larger Ford Expedition EL...
I have the 3rd seat out of my 2000 XLT and just measured it for you.
2nd seat up to the back door 47" at the bottom, the seat is angled back and at the top it is 42"
With the 2nd seat down to the passenger seat it is about 81" along the floor, the seat slopes here too and it will be shorter by...
Dexter if you are wondering how to post a photo so it shows when you open the thread, make sure it's not too large then go to manage attachments at the bottom of your new thread page, select your photo from your computer (.jpg) or your hosted site (URL address) and upload. When you post it will...
Very nice look and good to see your not like some of the thoughtless driving around in souped up Hondas and jacked up trucks with HIDs in reflector lenses.
Did you put the yellow bulbs in those?
BTW your image is too large to load on the forum.
Patience grasshopper.
It sounds like it's airlocked.
BTW 666 is a pretty unlucky number, does it have some meaning?
Who knows that might even be your problem. :roflbow:
It will probably cost you $50-$100 at the wreckers.
