    Ive used both and I would rather have the in dash as I dont have to have the GPS on the windshield and having to run a wire down the dash.     That looks exactly like the one I got on ebay for like $15 bucks. But if you paid $200 for it then yours probably doesnt soak up water like mine does. When the lens is dry mine works great. When its wet I might as well just hit everything.
