I'm thinking HUB bearing as well. Jack the rear end off the ground, after chalking the front tires so it doesn't roll. Take the wheel off, and put the tranny in the neutral. Spin the HUB and listen. If its bad you should hear some grinding like the bearings are 1. wore out. 2. need grease 3...
I'm still looking for a 4x4 rig to make my own. Everybody around here are way to proud of theirs and thinks they are worth more than they really are.
