    Dead No Start

    Update !! So after a month of the Expy sitting, I finally got to working on her. After some testing it was the stater ( actually the solenoid on the side of the starter) that was gone. There was a lot of corrosion on the positive side of the solenoid, I think that's what did it in. Side...

    2001 4.6 lift questions

    Expy's actually work pretty good off-road for the size. Depends what you mean mud ready?? Is it going to be street driven or off-road only? If you want a full mud expy , put in a blown 5.4, SAS and 46 tires. :flamingdevil: Other wise you can go cheap and add a set of 33' mud tires...

    How comfortable is your Expedition?

    I'd give mine a 9/10 to start but now with the 38"s and the slight drive shaft vibe its a 8. The reason its not a 10 is I find the seats not perfect.

    Help! Trailing arm question! It's broke!

    The rear trailing arms are a bad design from Ford. Common problem for 1st gens. You can get after market ones that should last forever, rectangular tubing. PMT makes the ones I put on. Check Ebay/amazon for them. I would check all four upper and lower. They don't have to be replaced in...

    using f250 coils for lift

    Yeah don't forget the drop for the track bar, and also the pitch of the pinion depending on how high you go. You also need to lower rear sway bar mounts. It all depends on how much lift you put in it. :flamingdevil: 4-6" not much problem over that you can have some issues like I did.
