1997 Ford Expedition 5.4L Transmission problem?
hmm Changed the filter and trans fluid about a year ago. I guess I will do that again and see what happens. It is 4x4 if that matters. It just seems to not be shifting into the last gear in drive. Do the differential and rear seals have anything to do with the way the tranny works...- bbaffert

1997 Ford Expedition 5.4L Transmission problem?
My Ford is not shifting into 4th gear at all. Anyone have any ideas on what to do? I am a do it yourselfer if possible. Would the differential being low on fluid be a problem? I noticed a leak of grease or oil on the rear passenger side wheel inside that seems to be coming from the...- bbaffert
