Yep, usually the trapped air is displaced during the cool-down cycle overnight. (PV=nRT). So check it in the morning. I just drained the radiator on my 05 to remove the upper hose and heater hoses for a timing chain/phaser job. I had to repeat the run up to temp, cool down overnight, add 8-16...
That sounds the most logical at this point. Antifreeze disappearing without a puddle under the car isn't a good thing. My '05 5.4 has always had drips from the exhaust pipe that caused me concern, but in years it has never lost any coolant - so I just chocked it up to condensation.
