    Headlamp bulb question

AFAIK, LED headlights were only introduced in the more recent models, although I'm not sure exactly when ('14? ), but I know my '011 EL came with OEM Halogens, which I quickly replaced with aftermarket LEDS (low, high, turn, fog, puddle, brake, 3rd) 2 yrs ago while I was replacing all of the...

    Fix for this loom tubing?

@Discobee Well I don't recall ever seeing that type of loom being used to carry fluids, but OTOH, I have seen stranger things :D However, the solution I was referring to is going to sLowes or Home Despot & find a brass or Stainless Steel coupling (or a short piece of nylon/brass/copper/ss...

    Oil filter wrench

Wow, are you using that notebook to log everything for your vehicle(s) ? Just wondering, as I use a spreadsheet to keep it all up to date, but I have 5 vehicles, so it's just easier for me to have all the info in 1 place, instead of flipping thru a bunch of pages every time I need to see when...

    Dealer trying to scam me?

Well they could just bring back the Taraus....probably the best built, most reliable, most affordable sedan Ford ever made :) But that would make too much sense, we can't have that now can we ? I'm talking about the one with the nice gentle curves, NOT that nightmare they called the 500...

    Red

AFIAK, red is not a real popular color for Expy's, and that's probably why I've only ever seen a few of them here & there... I do know of 1 in particular that sits in front of a paint shop in southern WV & they likely did it themselves, in a gorgeous metal flake candy apple red, like some 60's...

Rear Right Tail Light Casing (Light Still Working)

Well lookie here: https://www.oemfordpartsdirect.com/oem-parts/ford-tail-lamp-assembly-nl1z13404a?c=bD00Jm49U2VhcmNoIFJlc3VsdHMmYT1mb3JkJm89ZXhwZWRpdGlvbiZ5PTIwMjImdD1tYXgtbGltaXRlZCZlPTMtNWwtdjYtZ2Fz Seems like the "red part" is only $230, IF that is the part that you are looking for..... way...

New here what other factory rims fit 2000 4x4 expedition 5 lug

Well, considering that the older Expy's came with OEM 275/55/20 tires in most cases (like my '011 EL did), then most of the factory rim sizes/widths should be relatively close between the various years....however, some models came with 18" & 22" rims too, but even then those should still fit...

    How good is ESP coverage?

Yep, hoses are normally considered a "periodic maintenance" item with little to no warranty coverage...unless they failed because of another major component failed first....like a water pump, but not the other way around....

Ford Expedition 2000 Battery Cable Removal Nut issue

Try a Dremel tool or a hacksaw to remove the offending part of the clip, unless you wanna be like 007 & zap it with a laser, hahahaha :D "Do you expect me to talk" ? "Why no Mr. Bond, I expect you to DIE"

    Timberline puddle lights.

Unless I've missed something here, AFAIK, yes, that is what we are talking about... and fyi, my buddy that has a recent model timberline also found the logo shining down onto the his driveway pretty amusing too :D

    Timberline puddle lights.

Well, I don't have a timberline, but the puddle lights on my '011 EL Limited point almost straight down, so you can, you know, see any puddles next to your vehicle :D Note that my assemblies are OEM-like LED replacements, but that didn't change the where or how they aim the light, only...

2001 Eddie Bauer 4x4 - Repair or Replace?

Yea, I thought that might be the case, since that top pic is the oil filler cap, but you called it a "gas cap" that's why I questioned it. TY for the clarification.. :D

New transmission in 2019 w/70,000 miles

Wow, that sucks wallah, but you should be really glad it was covered by the warranty, cause that's one hella expensive replacement job otherwise ($4-8K) :D

Bleeders seized up on two old front calipers, what now?

"The need, the bleed, the deed" Get 'em done before they get you done, for good.... brakes are one of those systems that MUST be properly maintained, unless of course, you actually enjoy having someone else's bumper or a random tree shoved up your nose.... 'nuff said :D

What Are These Under the Hood?

If/when you try to do something stupid with your vehicle (like driving way too fast or climbing up a 87° incline), those openings are where the "bad driver goblins" enter & exit the engine compartment.... Hahahahahaha....just kidding too :)

2001 Eddie Bauer 4x4 - Repair or Replace?

Well, just for comparison purposes, on 3 occasions, I have been offered $6-7K for my '011 EL Limited with 85K, which is in above average condition inside & out, with no engine, transmission or suspension issues...1 of these offers came from my local dealer that does some of my service work, and...

    Looking for more power/speed

Well, just install a bigger gas pedal, that will do the trick, hahahahaha :) j/k.... But as mentioned, you could look for ways to reduce the vehicle's weight, which would be the most practical way to make it a bit faster to get up to whatever speed you want to achieve, OR You could swap in a...

Morimoto Universal Backup Light Boost Bar

As shown on the mfgr's website, they are designed to be mounted using the existing holes for the license plate, and the wiring can be routed along the inside of the bumper, over to one side & up to the tail light housing. Seems fairly straightforward to me, and I am by no means a wiring...

Alarm being triggered randomly for no apparent reason

By hood sensor, if you mean the one that shows up on the dash as "hood is open" or something, yes, my 011 EL has it, and if the hood is NOT fully opened within 5 mins or so after releasing the hatch from inside the truck, it triggers the panic alarm.... Same goes for the doors & rear hatch...

Question about 2019 Ford Expedition tail lights upgrade

That's why the resistors are needed for some models, so the "hyper-flash" & dash warnings do not happen, but OTOH, they won't fix loose or insufficient connections :D

    Dealerships are different

A stealership's purpose it to sell VEHICLES, and overpriced service work, as well as make as much MONEY as they can, nothing more, nothing less.. NO, they do NOT like to do warranty work for the reasons already stated, but the good ones are smart enough to realize that if they provide high...
