    Clicks but won’t start

nO, NO, & Hiel NO..... Wally's batteries are trash, been there, done that, NEVER AGAIN ! For that same $$ you could have gotten a Napa Gold, with a 36mo pro-rated replacement warranty AND free installation too.... Guess what Wally will tell you if you take one back to them with issues...

    Revolving compass above the speedometer

Usually, it just means you are driving around in circles, which tells the system that you have NO clue where you are going, let alone where you want to go, hahahaha :D j/k !

    Rust breaker recommendations

Hello ALL, Now that the weather here has taken a turn for the better (FINALLY !) I am about to undertake some repairs & maintenance tasks on & under da Beast... Therefore, I am looking for recommendations on a REALLY good rust buster to loosen up those bolts/screws etc that have been exposed...

    Feeling defeated

My general rule is that if a celeb/infloozer/newsperson etc is hawkin something, RUN, don't walk, as fast as you can to put as much distance between you & whatever they are pushing............ The above folks are only after ONE thing......a paycheck, and they don't give a rats ass about whether...

    Clicks but won’t start

Yes, a failing or bad battery CAN cause the click-no-start issue, but there are several other things that can be culprits too, like bad cables, loose, corroded, or melted connections, failed relays etc.... But the battery is usually the easiest, fastest & cheapest place to start, so by all...

    Interior window fog

As long as the fog hasn't been there for very long, I usually use white vinegar. wiping it on & let it set for a few minutes then buff off. But for more difficult accumulations, I've used Goof-Off, followed by a 2nd wipe down with Vinegar and then if needed, a 3rd buffing with distilled...

    OEM Seat Cover replacement

IF I had that many miles on my Expy & needed to replace the covers, I would definitely do the foam at the same time, unless it involved some sort of heavy duty or detailed rework....surely the foam has lost SOME of it fullness & load absorbing capacity... I would call it one of those "well...

    2024 Ford Expediton New Tires

I have recently changed 2 of my 3 vehicles (Acadia & Cherokee) to Michelin Defender 2's, and have noticed a huge difference not only in lower road noise but better handling and steadier braking responses....so the family is riding better all around. Next up will be my Expy, in the spring, when...

    Changing my oil and filter

Yea well, as someone once said: "AI is as AI does" I find this just utterly friggin ridiculous that an "owners manual" doesn't give you any info on the type of oil & the part numbers for the filter... wtf has this world come to ? (see line 2 for the answer!)

    Changing my oil and filter

OK, so you did your new truck right by changing out the factory oil & filter asap, congrats, well done :D But was there another reason for your post ? some hidden warning or cautionary tale perhaps (like the skid plate thing) ? And how the hell did Ford supposedly NOT put the oil change...

ABS Behavior After Tire Upgrade (Increase)

Going 1 size wider tires should not have any effect on the ABS, nor should a taller sidewall... Going to a different diameter tire & rim will though... Lookie here for a comparison... https://tiresize.com/calculator/

    Dealership doesn't know whats wrong...HELP

This would be my first (and least expensive) thing to check/replace....fix that then if the coolant still looks yucky, get another flush & fill and go from there :) PS: When I say flush & fill, I mean the complete one, where the entire system is drained, filled a cleaning solution, back...

Asking for a friend (Really) ...

Well, it's been my experience that any time you go to a stealership and even remotely mention the words "transmission problem", they instantly start seeing $$$$ signs flashing around in their brains.... And YES, the parts are expensive & the work is very labor intensive, but as already stated...

2026 Star White Metallic Tri-Coat Platinum Stealth Performance AND Stealth Appearance

Ummm....last time I checked, ~6400lbs GVW is a tad more than 1/2 ton, and I'm fairly certain the newer ones aren't much lighter. :D However, if you were referring to cargo-carrying capacity, I've frequently hauled way more than 1/2 ton of stuff with mine, nottaproblemo....

No hot air from HVAC after warm up

As can a clogged or blocked heater core, which could possibly be resolved with a complete cooling system flush & fill, the full one where everything is drained, filled with a cleaning solution, then back-flushed under pressure to get all the grime & gunk out, then flushed a 2nd time with clean...

2026 Star White Metallic Tri-Coat Platinum Stealth Performance AND Stealth Appearance

No "problem" per se, other than the fact that it makes an Expedition look like a pimp wagon or beach cruiser....instead of the big, heavy-duty, bad-ass beast that they are :D So if that's the look you want, more powah to ya !

2026 Star White Metallic Tri-Coat Platinum Stealth Performance AND Stealth Appearance

Yea I like it overall, but those 22"/24" rims & tires gotta go away, preferably to a galaxy far, far away, whether in Alaska or otherwise...

    2026 Tremor is worth it

Well, congrats on the new ride, hope it will serve you well ! However, if I had seen those scratches on the frame before or at the time of purchase, I would have insisted that they be smoothed off, primed & undercoated as part of the deal.. but that's just me, cause when it comes to this kind...

    Rear Hatch Light Upgrade?

Well, mine interior is black also, so that's why the upgrade made such a huge difference compared to those puny, slack-assed OEM incadescent bulbs :D As for whether the 19's came with LED's or not, I really don't know either, but then again, there are LED's with different color warthms &...

LEDs for High Beam/Low Beam/Fog Lights

Been there, done this, like almost 5 years ago, about 2 months after purchasing my '011...using Searight H11/6700k's.. Note that I: 1. Also replaced the headlight assemblies too, since the OEM ones were pitted/yellowed and basically useless, and 2. Followed this up by swapping all other bulbs...

    Rear Hatch Light Upgrade?

Depending on where & how the light is mounted/installed, you may or may not be able to change the bulb for an LED one, like I have everywhere I could on my '011, as our vision is not as good as it used to be, so more light is better for us :) Hell, even changing the map lights out for LED's...

    Dirty Air Filter

Funny this should come up now, as I just checked my filter the other day, and it was not dirty at all, after ~8 months/7500 miles of driving primarily on the highway. I had a thread on this back in April 25, which was focused on MPG & responsiveness from changing types of filters, and as you...

    tail light fogging

You will want to make sure that whatever sealant you choose is compatible with the foam/rubber/plastic gaskets that installed on the new light fixture. Otherwise your problem will get worse, not better, as the curing compounds in the sealant could cause the gaskets to weaken or break down...

Need to beef up rear suspension on 08 Expy EL

So, are these "Air bags" that you seek different from the "Air Ride System" that came stock on the rear of many '011 EL's (like mine) ? I don't know for sure, but as I understand it, that system functions like a continuously variable, electronically-controlled set of air bags/shocks that adds...
