Suspension solution to 04 expi 5.4

That's sounds heavy. Are you exceeding the towing capacity or GAWR? Have you tried a weight distribution hitch?

Adding some stuff, just questions for now

I'm adding a different perspective shot to show the fit. Sorry, I don't have a before (OEM rims) but OEM definitely tucked under more. At stock height, the Raptor wheels are a great offset. When I had the Raptors on my lifted 2003, they were tucked under too much for my liking.

Adding some stuff, just questions for now

This is the wife's 2016 with 2017 Raptor wheels. I had them repainted in gloss black, added black Gorilla splined lug nuts and went with LT285/70R17 Michelin Defenders. By dimensions the tires should be slightly oversized, but by GPS the speedo is dead nuts. The small increase in offset and...

    Low Beam Headlight Bulb Recommendation

Correct - 2 and 8 clocking on both sides. Correct - 9006 and 9005 set.

    Low Beam Headlight Bulb Recommendation

I've been using Sealights in my 03 for a couple years now - low beam, high beam and fogs. The low beams aren't perfectly oriented to 3 and 9, closer to 2 and 8 probably. It's a big improvement and I don't get people flashing at me because they're blinded.

New 2003 owner. What are the first things you did?

I replaced the original front lower ball joints summer 2015 with Moog. I added the Daystar lift in 2016. I didn't like the way the rear sat about 1/2" lower than the front. I bought a pair of 1/4" aluminum wheel spacers and drilled holes to add to the top of my rear struts. It was the perfect...

Upper Control Arm (UCA) upgrade for 2003?

That's interesting the suspension changed in '06, but the major face lift wasn't until '07.

Upper Control Arm (UCA) upgrade for 2003?

Per the website, those don't fit 2003 - 2005 Expeditions. I'm surprised to see 2006 listed as a fit because it should be the same as 2003 - 2005.

Help! What is this sound ? Am I screwed

Get a mechanics stethoscope or short piece of hose to listen though and check components in the engine bay. I'm thinking it's a bad bearing, maybe in the alternator or an idler pulley. Or maybe a failing brush in the alternator.

This! ☝️ Use the full tank as bargaining during price negotiation. List it in the for sale ad "first full tank of gas included!"

21 rear brake pad replacement breakin

I too have been very happy with Duralast Gold rotors and Duralast Elite Ceramic pads on my 2003 (installed Sept 2015!) and just put the same on the wife's 2016 in December. I've put over 50k miles on the 2003 Duralast brakes. I also bed them in with a few hard brakes when new per the...

    2004 Expedition Build Log w/ Ramblings & Write-Ups

Mine had the factory Y. I recall the pipes being crimped down in size and it looked restrictive so I wanted to replace it when replacing the muffler. The 2.5" dual in / 3" single out was perfect as a Y and muffler combined. I bought some 3" straight and mandrel bends to finish it out the back...

    2004 Expedition Build Log w/ Ramblings & Write-Ups

I have the same Hypertech 42500. My primary reason for purchasing was to change the speedo for oversized tires, but I also run the 91 octane tune. I can't notice any difference. I'm running the FlowFX 72198 dual in single out. It sounds great and doesn't drone in the cab. I'm very interested...

    Brake replacement options

Yes! I forgot to say grease is very important and it doesn't take much! I've had this container for 15 to 20 years. I use it on every brake change on the caliper slides and pad slides. I've never had a squeak.

    2003 Eddie Bauer 5.4

I had a failed factory amp for the sub in my '03 last year causing a parasitic draw that killed a brand new battery in 2 days. After troubleshooting on my end and posting about it, @whtbronco hooked me up with their old amp and problem solved. Lesson learned....20 year old vehicles can pop up...

What the heck happened to my rotor? And which kit should I get, Detroit Axle or Powerstop?

I've been very happy with Duralast Gold rotors and Duralast Elite Ceramic pads on my '03 (installed Sept 2015!) and just did the wife's '16 last month. I've put over 50k miles on the '03 Duralast brakes.

    2010-2017 Seat Foam replacement

I installed the durafoam on both front seats of my 2003 6 or 7 years ago. Great product in my opinion. I also did new leather covers for the seat bottoms and backs. It was a pricey investment, but it's my daily driver. Still very comfortable today.

Rack & Pinion Play in Steering

Entirely possible. Consult an alignment shop. Agree, I would assume correct orientation at the rack, but what about the other end? Are you confident that end is right? Variation side to side is not uncommon. More importantly, installing new parts with the same # of turns doesn't mean your...

Rack & Pinion Play in Steering

Sure. Did you get an alignment after the work? Also, are you certain tie rods were installed correctly? I ask specifically because I've seen posts where someone installed the end from the wrong side.

Where to find a legit online store for lifting accessory for my Ford Exped '03 XLT.

I bought the Ranchos from RockAuto 3 years ago. I bought the Daystar kit 7 or 8 years ago so I can't recall where that came from.

    Will this fit?

These grill guards are nothing more than cosmetics and Aux light mounts, and a step for engine bay access. I've read some people say the grill guard "caused more damage" in a small accident than not having one. I have one with an integrated LED bar. I like the look and I got it cheap used off...

Where to find a legit online store for lifting accessory for my Ford Exped '03 XLT.

Rancho Quicklift strut assemblies are a good upgrade of springs and struts, and provide 1" of lift. I'm running the Ranchos with Daystar spacer lift to get closer to 4" total lift.

    Will this fit?

I gotta say 'no'. You're searching for a 2016 Expedition. The listing is for 2003-2014 Navigator (which I would assume includes 2003-2014 Expedition)...not your 2016 Expedition.
