    Potential electrical issues

Open EGR valve would cause stall at idle. Unplug the vacuum from the EGR valve, and plug the vacuum line, to see if it's getting constant vacuum. If that makes no difference, check to see if the EGR valve is stuck open. Stuck open would be unlikely, but worth checking. Check for any other...

    Dealership recommended service

Not even close according to their "station finder". When I searched my zip code for "all brands" within a 100 mile radius, there are 149 hits - Arco 2 times, "76" 2 times, and Chevron 145 times. Looks suspect to me.

    Cai and led headlight bulbs

I run Sealight S2S in all 4 of my fam's vehicles (2002 Escape, 2003 Expedition, 2003 Pilot, 2016 Expedition). I ran them in the 2016 for a year before replacing all the others. I use the 6500K bright white and we think they're great.

03 Expedition with a evap leak and installed a new gas filler neck and fuel filter and found a loose hose back near the ffiller neck!

I recall going down this rabbit hole before and it's a vent hose. I don't remember exactly what for though. It was tapped or zip-tied against the filter hose, right?

    Sub or amp dying?

I ended up getting help and solution in this thread: https://www.expeditionforum.com/threads/sub-or-amp-dying-thoughts.56291/ My sub amp had failed internally. After going through my issue, I'd say anything is possible for yours. It sounds like you've identified a starting point for...

2022 Timberline Stock Tire Issues - Recommendation For New Tire Type?

I've had Terrain Contacts since Dec 2021 and I've been very happy with them. I have lift and 315/70R17's, but 98% of my driving is on the road, so I focused my search on a tread that would be good in Florida's rains. These have not disappointed.

    Sub or amp dying...thoughts?

No, but I thought about it. The magnet was snug against the back of the enclosure where the hole is. I added a weatherstrip foam around the mating surface of the sub and added a piece on the magnet at the hole. It seems to be sealed quite well. Like I said, I think it hits a little harder than...

    Sub or amp dying...thoughts?

So the new battery was toast and I got it replaced under warranty. I got the factory amp and replacement sub from @whtbronco - MUCH appreciated! I swapped the amp out and it drove my factory sub pretty good, so my amp was definitely shot/shorted out inside. With that confirmed, I had to...

Rack & Pinion Play in Steering

What brand reman did you use? I wish more OEM parts were available for our 20+ year old vehicles! I'd pay a premium for OEM. I'm literally trying to drive mine till the wheels fall off... or maybe I should say "trying to drive the wheels off!" I'm hard on mine, but keeping it on the road is...

Good feedback. Probably same thing with mine with 177k and lift and oversized tires.

    Sub or amp dying...thoughts?

Thursday my truck wouldn't start. I pulled the battery (16 months into a 36 month warranty, so free replacement) and pulled the alternator (lifetime warranty through AZ). I was thinking maybe a dying battery or dying alternator may be causing an audio issue at the amp. I was told the battery had...

    Sub or amp dying...thoughts?

Thanks for the sanity checks. I'm hoping to investigate Wed or Thur. If not, then it'll be a couple weeks before I get time again.

    Sub or amp dying...thoughts?

Right on, thanks! I ran to the home improvement store tonight and the sub seems to work better when I'm slowing or stopped, like inverted speed sensitive sound adjustment (the wife's 2016 increases sound with speed to compensate for road noise). Makes me think loose connection where the weight...

    Sub or amp dying...thoughts?

It's def not a fuse because in the last 36 hours, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, sometimes it works half. I'll play with the fade to see what may change. Thanks!

    Sub or amp dying?

On the way home today, the sub sound was fading in and out. It didn't depend on speed, throttle, steering wheel turn.... nothing. Yesterday was hot, this morning was cool (80 for Florida in July) this afternoon was in between. Maybe heat related?... Amp failure based on heat? Who has a thought...

    Sub or amp dying?

I'm trying to determine the most likely failing component. - sub, amp, or maybe signal from head unit? 2003 Expy Eddie Bauer with full factory system, 6-disc in dash changer. I've had this truck 20 years and never had an issue with the audio until recently. A couple months back, the subwoofer...

    Smoke Smell

I bet the smell is returning from all the surfaces that haven't been cleaned... under seats, seat cushions (someone else said this), HVAC ducting and fans, under the dash, etc. It's gonna take some time for all of that to out-gas. I had a sunroof leak during a torrential downpour recently...

    Oil leak?

2003 2004 engine mounts are liquid filled - hydraulic engine mounts. It could very well be the mount leaking. My tire shop told me mine were leaking years ago. I thought it was BS until I looked them up. FWIW, I still haven't replaced my mounts.

    Engine swap

Yes, I've replaced my intake manifold also... and the routine maintenance including plugs and coils, but the engine internals have been solid. And I've seen many like you with 200k+ or 300k+ on the original internals, so I don't agree with the question of reliability.
