    I also want to be able to get in and drive in case my primary key and fob go missing. I am now thinking put the mechanical key in the hitch vault (externally accessible) and then hide the spare fob in the truck in a faraday cage/bag.

    Before you invest in repairing them check the rest of the underside. My rockers rusted. That was easy to spot. But my lower control arms were also rusted to heck.

    On my 2010 Expy I had in channel visors. I had the bouncing problem and eventually the regulator on the window failed outright. If you have interference problems my $0.02 would be to return them before they hurt the truck. <I am not a mechanic>
